A well designed and well made basic product.

Summary: We purchased this toaster in August after our T-fal toaster died. I researched many different brands and models on the internet and concluded this Hamilton Beach 24121 had just the right combination of features and price. This is the lowest priced four slice toaster that handles both bagels and bread and toasts evenly that I could find. Cleaning is easy because of the conveniently located and well designed crumb trays.
Summary: Very large toaster. Does not have the loos of the other four slice toasters but does the job. I think for the money good buy. It also takes a lot longer to toast due to the space between the wires and bread.
Summary: I bought this toaster because it was a 4 slice toaster. It doesn't work properly. One section only browns on one side and the other section browns darker on one side. Should have sent it back.
Summary: You can do Bagels, on one side, and toast on the other, at the same time. There is even a "Frozen Bagel" setting. If I have any complaint, it is that a feature we had on our previous toaster is not on this one. We were able to lift the handles after the cycle completed and actually raise the Bagel or English muffin an extra inch or so to allow easy removal. Now, its back it fishing them out with a fork which is not so good if you are clumsy.
