Summary: I researched and researched to find a decent toaster; you know, one that actually toasted bread. The one that I found out was best is no longer made. So, after reading countless reviews I purchased the Hamilton Beach white 4-slice. I have had it for 4 weeks. I shall trash it in the actual garbage can. It does not toast worth beans. It is uneven, not hot enough for any bread and has completely quit working on the whole left side.
Summary: We have a few of these toaster at my office. They seem to be durable because they are heavily used. However they are slow. It takes an eternity to finish and usually needs a second toast. The bagel feature is nice. I, like others, don't like hard bottoms on bagels. But I don't understand why reviewers praise the cancel button. Is it novel to be able to stop a toaster part way through? Every toaster I've ever used has had a means to finish early.
Summary: I just recently had to replace my 4 slice toaster and wasn't sure which one to buy. I read the reviews of so many different brands, but I wanted to stick with a brand that I was not only familiar with, but knew had a good reputation. I decided on this one even though it had no reviews, because of the bagel feature. I am so glad I did. This toaster is fairly large, but the cancel and bagel features are awesome.
Summary: I like this toaster because it is very attractive and does the job it was designed for which is making toast. It is sleek and looks wonderful in my newly renovated kitchen. I am very pleased that I purchased this great toaster.
