Summary: Don't buy a low wattage toaster! It doesn't save energy, you just have to toast longer. Toasting longer actually increases heat loss in addition to wasting your time. A 15 amp circuit (minimum household circuit by code) will run a 1600-1800 watt (depending on the exact voltage your utility company is providing) if nothing else is on the circuit. A 20 amp circuit (minimum for kitchen countertop outlets per code) will do 2200-2400 watts. This toaster is 1400 watts.
Summary: Looks good. Quality construction you would expect from B & D. I do have to turn the dial up a little more than expected to get it to toast dark enough, but I've found this with past toasters. Easy to clean and use.
