DeLonghi--- or since they moved production from Italy - Dee Lon Gee,lol -- has had trouble with switches, as I learned, sadly. If the switch dies, the minimum local repair is $45, not worth it, since you don't know for sure that the minimum will fix it. My original ITALIAN DeLonghi got too disreputable looking, after 20 years of burning toast. I am giving them another try, seeing if the power switch problem has been fixed -- I know they got a LOT of complaints.
