Summary: I figured out a way to cook a larger chicken in this oven using the rotisserie. I have a 5-pound chicken cooking right now. The picture of this oven is very deceptive. Note that the chicken is in the oven with nothing but the baking rack. Well, sorry. You need the drip pan. A large chicken WILL brush the bottom of the pan while it cooks on the rotisserie but this doesn't need to be a problem. I lined the pan with foil and drizzled it with olive oil.
Worked ok while it lasted, but internal wiring shorted ...

Summary: Worked ok while it lasted, but internal wiring shorted out due to melted cheap plastic components.. This is inexcusable considering that I only used it occassionally - maybe once a month - and never cooked anything above 350.
Summary: There is no such thing as the best of both worlds. The oven is nice but don't buy this for the rotisserie. The first time I tried to use the rotisserie I discovered that I don't want to use it at again. Some of the seasonings from the chicken got into the element casings and I had to let it cool down to get it out.
Best Toaster Rotisserie Convection Oven you can buy !!
2 September 2013
Summary: I have now owed this B&D Toaster Oven for almost 18 months. It gets used several times a day by myself, my wife my two teenage kids for toast, snacks, warm-ups, cookies, pizzas, baking, rotisserie etc.. The digital controls are easy to use and automatic timers (user adjustable) ensures the unit will switch off a maximum of 30 mins after it reached the desired temp unless you set the timer once it reaches temp, it defaults to 30mins.
Summary: Had a similar model for the last several years which was still working fine, but I wanted to upgrade to the latest model and it works like a charm. Really don't use my full-size stove anymore, so I save on electricity and time. Highly recommended.
