Summary: I had Black & Decker Toast-R-Ovens for 40 years, but this one didn't fit the bill..The words and numbers on dials were hard to see...Had to buy the Caphalon one which I really love and it's all digital and easy to read and use.
Summary: Hard to cook something on this toast-r-oven when the temperature and function lettering have all wiped off. I used water and a paper towel to wipe the front area clean, and all the numbers and wording came off like cheap magic marker. Now this toaster oven is worthless to me.
Summary: I did tons of research before I purchased this. Great product. Easy to clean. Cooks evenly and fast. Fits a standard disposable half roaster pan (13" x 9") which I use very often. Only drawback is it takes up very much space on the counter. Check the exact measurements before you buy!
Summary: My old B&D toaster oven died so I replaced it with this one to use for a toaster and an oven in the summer. I can't toast anything without standing right there watching it or the toast burns. Little room on the knob to adjust toast settings. The third time I used it, my toast caught on fire! An actual flame of about five inches!!! Thankfully I was standing right in front of it and was able to quickly put the flame out. I thought it was a defect.
Really disappointed after years of using B&D products

Summary: This Toaster Oven died on me after about 3-1/2 years, which to me seems unreasonable given that earlier Black and Decker Toaster Ovens I've owned have lasted like 25 years or more. I also didn't like the overall product, but never could justify getting rid of it, cause it was mediocre but otherwise still worked. The controls are very counter-intuitive. It's hard to read them. You may think you've set the unit to "toast" but it's still in "oven mode.
Summary: Others complained about the difficulty in reading the temperature setting which are all true. It is almost impossible to read the settings. It would be better if they used a white or lighter color background than the primary black color and a somewhat larger print size. We are still trying to determine if it heats properly to the temperature set as it seems to take a lot longer to cook things than we or product directions indicate.
