We purchased this tent before heading out to Yellowstone…

  • Summary: We purchased this tent before heading out to Yellowstone and the Tetons last summer with our 4- and 6-year-old girls. We did put it up in the yard once before the trip to make sure we had everything...It was so easy! And once up and staked down, it is amazingly strong. We had a chance to test this out in the Tetons at Colter Bay. We had just set it up and a little shower came up.....Two hours later and most of it with dime size or larger hail, we came out dry and happy.

  • Summary: this is the tent our family of 4 spent 9 days in while car-camping in yellowstone. to say that we were very comfortable every nite would be an understatement. this tent offers plenty of room for 4 (with backpacks stacked). every nite we sat up and played cards. plenty of room to stretch out. this tent is tricky to set up the first time. our first nite (at midnight) was in a south dakota brisk wind. which made setting up kinda a drag.

My daughter received a Kelty Mantra 5 from Santa three…

David Serrell, Trailspace.com

  • Summary: My daughter received a Kelty Mantra 5 from Santa three years ago. She's 8 now, and for the past three years she's really enjoyed camping out! The Mantra 5 is exceptionally well designed, has many special features, and is a very high quality tent. It has never leaked a single drop of water, despite camping in blowing rains, even snow! We've camped in the mountains of North Carolina, at the coast of North Carolina, and in the Florida Keys. The tent is absolutely the best!
