Summary: It took us about 15 minutes to set up the tent. It was roomy for my wife and I. we set cots at one end and the other 40% of the tent was open for our camp clothes and chair. With the cots setup in the middle on one end, we had room to get up and walk around the cots. the day we took down our tent, we were able to roll up our sleeping bags, bag the cots and pack clothes without ever getting out on the tent. I look forward to our next camp out.
Summary: I received this tent as a Father's Day present. We used it that night in our field. It worked great! I am 6'4" tall and could move around the tent quite easily. I love the mesh roof, although the morning dew does allow for one to awake a bit wet in the morning. I am guessing the rain fly will need to be used 100% of the time. This will be a shame though. Because it really is neat to sleep on one's back and get to watch the stars.
Summary: I didn't spray any sealant on the tent and it worked great in high winds and DRIVING rain. 1 or 2 drops max. Super impressed. It has plenty of room for a family of 4 with gear. Also, it went up pretty easy. I put it with with my 11 year old son. It took about 40 minutes the 1st time. We got it down to about 20 minutes. The instructions are not great, but it's not rocket science. Oh, it's also got good ventilation. Camped during hot days, no problem.
Summary: Lots of room. The two rooms make it real nice. We set a queen air mattress in one room and a pak-n-play crib and a toddler airpad/sleeping bag in the other. We still have lots of room to store our stuff. The sewn in instructions are nice. It's imposable to get it all back in the bag supplied after you take it out, the Chinese in the factory are probably tetris champs in their off time.
Summary: I purchased this tent for a scouting camping trip for a family of four (in Florida in early spring) after reading the previous reviews on this tent as well as some additional research which recommended taking the number of people that it says it holds and divide by 2 which will give you the actual number of people it will sleep comfortably with some gear. I recommend that everyone follow this formula as it held true.
Summary: I bought this tent to replace one that had been heavily damaged in a wind storm. My husband and I camp often with our two dogs. When I first read the directions I was a bit worried; however, once we had all the parts out it was super easy to set up. We didn't even need the directions for the second setup. The tent is huge and you can stand up throughout it. We put it to the test the first night as we had 30 mph wind gusts.
Summary: We bought this tent based on reviews and were not disappointed. We used it for our family of 4, our dog, and a lot of extra gear that we didn't even need. There is a lot of extra room in this tent, and I'd say it can sleep 6 very comfortably, and 8 if you don't have any gear in the tent with you. There is the potential for 2 "rooms" in the tent via a partition that clips in place in the middle of the tent, with a zipper down the center.
