Summary: I've had a Westinghouse for 10years. And its still like new!!! I've NEVER had a problem with it. I think the picture and quality looks good. I love it so much I bought another one! I can't complain at all. Especially about the price.
Summary: Alot of people are hesitant to buy a Westinghouse set, I understand that. Ive got a 5 year old Westinghouse LCD still going strong though, so buying this was a no brainer for me. With Westinghouse you get a great(not good) picture, its that simple. DirecTVHD, and especially 1080P Blu Ray look just awesome. It simply lacks in the bells in whistles department, but your paying less than half the cash here for a comparable LED.
Summary: I have this hooked up to my XBOX 360 and my computer, both via the HDMI inputs. I use it primarily for XBOX gaming, DVD playback from my XBOX, watching videos (Youtube etc) via my PC, and some armchair gaming via my PC, etc etc. Connectors: * 2 x HDMI in * 1 x composite in (yellow/red/white) * 1 x VGA in (plus an input for computer sound) * 1 x coaxial antenna in * 1 x audio out (RCA red/white) * 1 x SPDIF out Likes: * Picture looks great when tweaked out to your...
Summary: This is an excellent tv for the money. The picture is excellent, the set-up is straightforward and the price is right! It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the more expensive tv's have, but you will not be disappointed with the overall quality of this tv. I would purchase another one from Amazon.com without hesitation.
Summary: I purchased this TV on 11/26/12 (that's Cyber Monday, if you're keeping track). It arrived a couple days later, and everything in the box was in good shape and worked perfectly. The Westinghouse UW40T2BW is a no-frills TV, so there's very little to set up. I connected my Apple TV to it and everything worked great. The picture and sound quality are surprisingly good for a budget TV, and the thin bezel puts the focus on what's *on* the screen instead of what's around it.
Summary: When I saw this TV on sale for $300 on Cyber Monday, I pounced on it. Now that I have opened it up and tested it, even at the $370 it is currently selling for it is absolutely worth it. Check around and you'll see that it is hard to find a television with these features at this price (especially LED-backlit and at 120Hz). Some people are concerned about buying "off brands," and rightfully so, because you tend to get what you pay for.
Summary: Everyone else covers the quality of this TV pretty well, but no one really explains how to wall mount it. Here's what I did: I already had a wall mount from Monoprice. I took the screws that came with it and made sure they fit into the new TV - just to make sure the threading is the same. I went to the hardware store and matched the threading with nuts until I figured out what it was.
Summary: As in all households, we had a long discussion whether to buy this TV or to buy a much more expensive one (>$550), with same specifications. My wife was skeptical at first because this is not a Samsung or an LG. But I persuaded her since we were getting this at $300, in the amazon cyber deal. I couldn't have been happier. We received it within 3 days, it is lightweight and easy to set up. The picture is superb.
