Summary: I purchased this TV from someone other than Amazon. The TV arrived with a non working IR sensor out of the box. Neither my "cable company" remote or the "new TV's remote" would turn the TV on/off or adjust the volume - something my cable technician said was a bad IR sensor - for sure. The box states you are supposed to contact the manufacturer, not the reseller - and I did. On a Saturday - no technicians were available.
Summary: I can understand why a lot of people may be skeptical. Westinghouse, as far as I know, isn't as well known/respected as LG, Sony, etc. But I need to say, I got this 40 inch HDTV for a little over $300. For the same price of what most other companies would be giving you a 22 inch screen, this is a must have. I am a college student and use it for movies when people come over and for video games and it looks awesome. I have had it for almost 2 months and have loved it.
Summary: We have had the TV for about a month now. We have not had any issues with the TV and I am enjoying having my first flat screen. It is very easy to use and set up. The picture is really good and the sound quality is excellent. I couldn't have asked for a better tv at the price of $279.00. So happy with this product. Way to go W.
