Summary: The picture on this TV was very good and the sound was OK, but the TV died shortly after the warranty expired. You would turn the TV on,the Vizio name would appear on the screen, and then it would shut off w/in a few seconds. I tried aunplugging, letting it sit for days/weeks, and tried it again w/ the same results. I've seen this referred to as the "black screen of death" and is a common problem with this model and other Vizio models.
Summary: I've had this TV for only 2.5 years and now there's a green line in the right hand corner. I'm not sure how it got there, but I'm not happy about it. I should have gone with a more expensive, higher quality TV. I wouldn't recommend this TV.
Summary: bought a new flat hd antenna as well hoping it would help but its the TV that's no good. i do not recommend this product. also sale price was a sales tactic because shipping cost was more than the cost of the TV so i ended up paying $500 for a s****y product.
Summary: I bought this for my mother. She loves it and it was half the price of a similar LG 42" I bought only three years before. It isn't the latest nor greatest but if all you are looking for is a 60Hz 1080p TV that has a good picture, this will work great. From what I remember of playing with it, the sound was pretty good but I view it a crime to NOT use a dedicated sound system with a HD TV.
Summary: After Vizio confirmed, Tv ship from manufactor to store & purhased by me in the same month, Asked for money for warranty, when problems started, they can't help with out lost recipt. I now own a different brand and will be giving $900 worth of BAD publicity to anyone who will lesson. They need to repair the QA department personnel.
