Summary: I've owned my XVT552 since 2010. The good, I love the picture. I give it a 5. I have gotten many compliments on the picture. I think most people's complaints about the picture, come from the TV not being calibrated.
Summary: I bought a vizio t.v. just over a year ago and had problems connecting to internet last night through my apps. After contacting my dsl service provider, I figured out they were not the problem. So, I contacted Vizio and they figured out it was the television that needed to be repaired.
Summary: I was having the same issues with the t.v. going out on its own and the vizio logo flashing white and orange.(I purchased this t.v. last December). Vizio support was ok, I had a tech come out to my residence and he replaced the mother board along with the power supply.
Summary: I'm VERY VERY impressed with this TV. I was completely wrong thinking it would just be an "OK" upgrade from my 42" Dynex 1080p 60hz. This thing is a beast. The picture? Might as well be 3D, as the HD channels REALLLY look as if they are in the room with you.
Summary: I purchased this Vizio television in April of 2010, but left it in the box and didn't install it until July so that I could make some mods to my room and mount it on the wall. In November, I had to have warranty repairs done because the picture went bad, it had red lines all over the screen.
Summary: I found this model on Dell at a great price so I decided to finally dive into the world of HDTV. The TV arrived and would not turn on out of the box. I was quite mad having spent what I consider to be a lot of money on a tv and it would not work brand new out of the box.
Summary: BUYERS BEWARE: DO NO BUY A VIZIO!!! Vizio TV's are cheap, and they appear to give you the biggest bang for your buck, but they simply to no work as promised. I purchased a Vizio XVT553SV which, at the time, was their flagship model.
Summary: Bought this TV 1/2 yr ago. Great picture and great sound! (Did add a home theater sound system anyway, which we use for movies.) A true theater experience! Had/has 2 problems. First, right out of the box, it did not pick up our local analog network channels. Digital only.
