Took a great TV (M3D550KD) and cheaped it up (M3D550KD"E")
25 May 2013
Summary: Great picture & great 3D but unacceptable fast motion, (Hockey, Baseball etc.) and lip sync problems. Sync OK when 1st set to a channel then got worse the longer you watched the channel. Also, when changing channels, it took it about 6 - 8 seconds to go to the next channel. Another TV on same cable box changed channels in about 2 seconds. Would not reccomend this to anybody. I am returning it to the store before my 90 days is up.
Summary: When I got it, I plugged it in & turned it on. Then I was doomed to "on" forever. If I turned it off, within 20 seconds, it turned back on. Had to unplug it for it to stay off. I returned it, & was sent a 2nd one. I plugged it in & it turned on by itself! Sent that back, too. Picture was awesome!
Summary: I purchased this unit at a REALLY good price (now I know why) before moving to Iowa from NYC on March 13th. It was delivered to my NY address on Feb 28th; I wanted to have my husband make sure there were no issues, such as pixilation, etc. He literally turned it on for 2 or 3 mins, all seemed good; no vibration from the sound was detected at that time, but turns out to only happen at certain frequencies and we obviously didn't leave it on long enough to find that out.
Summary: Length:: 0:43 Mins I first had a problem with the Bluetooth remote. It quit working on the third day. After speaking with 3 different customer service representatives, I finally spoke with a technician who was able to help me correct it. They really should inform the customers on how to disable that function if you're not going to need it, before it messes with the remote. Anyway, after that it seemed to work just fine.
Summary: I am very disappointed with this set. It is almost like I have to adjust the colors everytime I change the channel. I sent photos directly to Vizio support and they determined the picture quality was satisfactory. I replaced an older Samsung with this model and the old Samsung (had a better and more consistent picture). Vizio was not willing to have anybody look at it, but Amazon was more than willing to take it back. Amazon is the best.
I was about to buy it. but it is only 120Hz "effective" refresh rate

Summary: After researching for 4 days (there is not a single review on the M3D550KDE, only on the 47" model or the older M3D550KD model, not the KDE model) I realized this is only "120Hz effective refresh rate" that means it is actually 60Hz. This is not good. Compare this to a $200 more Panasonic L55ET5 Other than this confusion every this about this TV check out.
Summary: BEWARE...I purchased Vizio Model M3D55OKD for a great price and after about 10-15 hours noticed a wavy green ghosting (like the Northern Lights display) in the dark areas of the picture. Went thru tech support which did not fix the problem. Found out Vizio will not honor their 1 year warranty if bought thru a 3rd party. Why Not? It is still a new Vizio made TV no matter where you bought it and they should stand by their products.
