I made the decision to purchase mainly on features & flexibility
29 May 2013
Summary: I rarely write reviews for things. But in this case I was asked, and so i am making an exception in this case. I have several different tech intrests, and I made the decision to purchase this mainly on the basis of product features and specifications, as well as flexibility, since i have both a desktop and laptop computers, both with hdmi. In fact, I purchased it as a replacement hdtv/monitor of the same size and resolution.
Summary: After installing this unit, I noticed two things: 1) great picture, 2) terrible sound. I pulled some external speakers off my shelf, and only then did I norice that there is no output for a standard speaker jack. Only SPDIF. I won't be buying an expensive audio sound-system for a $200 TV, so now I'm stuck with the poor sound. Why couldn't Vizio have installed a simple analog audio output? How hard would that have been?

Summary: I was looking for a small TV, with a big picture, that had a headphone jack. It needed to fit in a somewhat confined space, yet still provide a large, high-definition image that I could easily see from half-way across the room, even with my poor eyesight. I also wanted to make sure that it had a headphone jack so I could hear it at a comfortable volume without disturbing others in the next room. This TV is everything I was looking for, and more.
Summary: This "22" Vizio WORKS right out of the box (well-cushioned w/ strong & well-fitted Cardboard with huge patch of bubble wrap...) It was dusty on the sides and was taped twice, no big deal on the PERFORMANCE of the HDTV, which is all I care about. only issue I found in using it as monitor to 2nd PC over wireless router the Screen lost 1/2 inch of acreage on top, which would have been easily resolved with a "finger scroll" on the old CRT which would have shifted the screen...
Summary: This is the second Vizio 22" 1080i set I bought, the first from Amazon. (The previous one was the previous version.) Neither of them are perfect. The picture quality is very good from dead on. It is full 1080i and delivers stunning resolution if you are close enough. But as other reviewers have said, the listed specs for angle of view are a bald faced lie. Side-to-side, you probably do get 30 degrees - which is realistically about where most people view it from.
Summary: Currently in the middle of a 12-month deployment in Afghanistan, for which I needed a small, affordable TV to go with my XBox, which my wife shipped to me. After e-shopping around, I settled on this one and have been using it for a few months now. Up front, I can't really comment on the speaker quality, as I always use my Shure headphones with it (gotta be considerate of others when living in a tent), but the sound quality through the headphones is very good.
Summary: This is an unbelievably good product, for an insanely low price. The ambient light feature completely eliminates any glare or reflection on the T.V. Also the product comes with a free cleaning cloth, that works great. Now to more important features. The screen quality is great, the blacks are extremely dark in contrast to the whites and other colors. The other colors, (blue, red, green, orange, yellow, etc.) are very rich and distinct.
Summary: We bought a 40" Vizio a couple of years ago and it has done well. I was trying to find a 19" for my daughter's room and I found this 22" for the same price but with a white frame which matches the furniture in her room. This is a very thin flat screen that is easy to operate. So far it has proven to be a really good product. I am also pleased with the picture quality.
