Question: Broken Vizio M220VA - just bad luck or a pattern?

I've had my M220VA for 5 weeks and it has stopped working. The screen has gone white but sound still works. I contacted Vizio and they walked me through troubleshooting and then declared it broken. I'm going to return it (to Target) but am torn if I should get the same TV or give up on Vizio. Does anyone know the break rate on Vizio's versus other brands? Was I just unlucky? I have a 42" Vizio that I've had a year but it gets really low usage, so I don't know if it's representative or if it will break soon also. Any feedback would be appreciated.
