Nope, Nope, never again.

Christina Thomas, Amazon

  • Summary: The TV quality is pretty solid for the price but within 2 months one of the lcd back lights failed. I called Vizio who said they would send out a "TV we can't call new" to me as a replacement. This means I spent full price on a used TV. Shipping was supposed to come a week later but they canceled. They rescheduled another week and by that time the entire TV went black.

  • Summary: Purchased this TV on 06/22/2013, wall mounted and hooked it up that evening. Picture was excellent when paired with Blu Ray or 1080 video device and it worked great, save for the occasional lock up, until a week ago. The TV has started to develop small 'bright spots' where it appears as though the LED lights are starting to 'supernova' or something. There are approximately 10-20 of these small spots and they're spreading.

Nice TV, Bad shipping

  • Pros: The TV is amazing. I love the remote control. Picture quality is pretty surprising as well.
  • Cons: Horrible experience with the delivery company. I was called on Sunday confirming a Monday delivery, but on Monday after waiting home all day the TV was never delivered. I received a call Tuesday morning telling me they now want to schedule me for a wednesday delivery because the had forgot to load the TV on the truck(for the second time). Not really a con on the TV but on the purchasing experience. Only complaints about the TV so far is that the base seems a little fl...

Indicators of poor quality - return after 1 week

Anonymous, Costco
28 May 2013
  • Summary: Indicators of poor quality - took it back after 1 week. Picture looked good, but concerned Vizio quality not as improved as people are saying. None of these items prevent using the TV, but afraid it's a sign of worse to come. 1) Occasionally the picture not centered -> bottom of image appeared at the top for no reason 2) loud click/pop (very sharp noise) at power on. From the TV speakers, not sure what happens if connected to separate home theatre system.
  • Pros: great price for gigantic screen picture look great
  • Cons: worrying signs of future problems picture not always centered loud click/pop

Severe flashlightning and DSE issues

dvzzz, Costco
12 February 2013
  • Summary: Other then correct color temps and decent greyscale this TV is one of the worst I have seen for flashlightning, out of 3 sets all of them have corner flash lights that distracting even on normal 2.35:1 movies with black bars. Contrast ratio is not the best but good for the price. What does look ugly is the colored DSE that all Sharp panels exhibit on all of their recent Fall 2012 70" panels including even Elite.
  • Pros: price and greyscale.
  • Cons: terrible flashlightning and colored dse ruins it.

  • Summary: I wanted to like this TV but it had a couple (three actually) problems that made it difficult to live with. The first problem was a definite shift toward green that was impossible to get rid off. It is possible this was limited to my unit only but I was reluctant to take a chance on that. The second and more serious issue was with off-axis viewing. I have an L-shaped seating area and viewing from any location other than directly in front of the set very disappointing.
