Summary: This tv is horrible. It was good for the first year and then things started going back. Right after the one year mark, the lights in the bottom left corner went dark so we dealt with a dark spot on the screen. Today the entire tv went out and after reading reviews, it is a common problem. We have only had this tv since July 2013 and for the price, it should have lasted a lot longer!
The product was good while it lasted the problem is the fact it ...

Summary: Purchased on August 16th 2013....deceased on 23 November 2014. 1 year and 3 months inexcusable for the price. Customer service took 4 attempts to get someone, then the games begin. Unplug it, let it sit for 15 seconds. Re-plug it in and hold the manual power button on the side. Disconnect the cable box, re-connect the cable box. Plug your cable box into another device. Unplug the tv and use a different outlet is there a light you can see from in the back....
Summary: will never buy another vizio... first went bad in 6 months.... second one made it through the 1 year warranty and then went out... customer service said sorry, you pay to get it fixed... sitting on the side of the road waiting on the garbage man to pick it up..
Summary: I brought this TV in April 2013 for $1700.00 and it just blew. I called Vizio and they stated that the unit cannot be fixed and had the audacity to offer me a 55 inch TV for $900.00 as a replacement. The representative stated that if the black light on the rear of this model goes it cost more to repair than replace. What a joke, I have 2 Sony TVs 1 60 and another 46 that were brought in 2010 and 2011 respectively that are still going strong.
Summary: Around after year I am seeing lot of white spots or dead zones appearing on the bottom part of the screen. Initially was visible only when the screen displayed certain dark colors but now its becoming very apparent. I would recommend people NOT to buy vizio coz there is a reason why they have priced this TV so low. You might save few hundreds of dollars but what good does a 70" with white spots do if you watch TV a lot.

Summary: After 14 months the infamous white spots started showing up and had hoped they'd solve themselves, but after few months contacted Vizio and was given the obligatory "can't help you" and given the amount of postings on the web about the issues with white dots I expected a better support from them.
Summary: We bought our 1st 70 inch e-series vizio in june of 2013. It failed, (red line on left side of screen),in 4 months. They replaced it with a new version which just failed, (went black),10 months later. So, I call the service dept. & they tell me the warranty only applies to 1st purchase date which ended last month!!! Isn't that nice? Don't buy one!!
Summary: This is not sour grapes....but DON'T buy this TV. All of the comments about picture quality is correct. BUT I purchased this TV January 2013, July of 2014 The backlight goes out. They have had recalls on this model number, but different serial numbers, so they can't help me. Oh....they will sell me a 65inch tv at a discount. Read backlight issues before you purchase. I spent 1,900 and it is worthless 18 months later.
Summary: DO NOT BUY. Stopped working 13 months after purchase and Vizio's response it that it's out of warranty. To only guarantee a $1600 tv will work for 12 months is ridiculous. So unless you have tons of cash to blow don't waste your money.
Summary: I will start off by saying I don't do reviews however this time is different. I just got off the phone with Vizio and I am set to get my 4th tv in a little over 6 months freight delivered to me. Yup you read it correctly 4th the longest I have had this model tv working correctly is 3 months, shortest was 30 minutes; so far two display issues and one power issue and Vizio gets prissy when I ask what problem the next one will have.
