Summary: It was also interesting when the vizio support asked where I purchased it from and I said, "new egg". The tech responded it was not one of their authorized dealers to which I balked and demanded to speak to someone else. Finally they agreed New Egg is an authorized dealer. My advise, don't buy VIZIO...not worth the aggravation by saving a few bucks. Go with Sam Sung or one the bigger names.
Cons: Vizio customer support is horrible. My TV had a thin red line which popped up yesterday. Exactly one year and a month after the manufacturers warranty so conveniently runs out. Well, I am OUT. Vizio pushed it to a local vendor to fix and it is now my problem. DO NOT PURCHASE anything VIZIO.....I had a Sam Sung for four years, great pic, never had a problem.
Summary: I will never again buy a Vizio product if this is a common issue at the one year mark. That is a horrible warranty and horrible customer support in my opinion. who buys a TV knowing it will last one year? I have Laptops I have taken to the desert in Iraq which have lasted 6 years with no issues.
Pros: for the first year I have owned the TV it was what I thought was a great deal. Great picture and what I thought was a very nice TV for the money. I had a 42 inch Sam Sung and decided to go with the Vizio because it seemed you got more TV for your money. I was wrong.
Cons: Exactly ONE year after purchase, and when the Vizio warranty conveniently ran out. I had a nice THIN red line which appeared for no reason and goes vertically from the top of my 60 inch TV all the way to the bottom. I have power reset etc. Upon further investigation n the internet, this appears to be a VERY common issue and is a manufacturers defect.
Summary: Amazing HDTV both for the price and quality, the HDTV has a slick design which is easy to put anywhere, applications are very useful, WiFi is easy to setup with the user guide. would truly recommend this HDTV to anyone who is looking for a 60" with amazing quality for a budget.
Summary: I got my first refurbished one in a plain brown box that looked like it had been through the war. I had the FedEx driver wait while I opened the box, only to find there were about 3 pieces of padding inside, placed randomly against the screen. The top right corner was scuffed and cracked from flopping around in the box. Someone had put the stand for the unit against the screen, so it could gouge the screen. I refused delivery, and he took it back.
Summary: Had this tv about 10 months and it went black while watching it. There is a known problem with this tv posted right on their website with the screens going out but still having sound. They told me they won't warranty ANY online retail purchase and my local tv shop says it will cost more than a new one to fix so I'm out $1000.00. BEWARE of this company, I will never buy a thing from them again.
Summary: We received our tv today, 05/08/2014. We put it together, set it up, turned it on, and there's a dot on the upper left hand side of the screen. We called tigerdirect.com, who told us to call Vizio. When we called Vizio, they told us to we had to take 2 pictures of the tv and send a copy of the invoice. That's understandable. What I can't understand is what they told me next.
