Summary: the picture and price was great but those are the only pro's.my tv has had 3 issues, first it would change volume on commercials and also vary from channel to channel, then it would randomly shut off. i put up with these issues for about a month then called vizio for answers/help. they sent me a firmware update in mail for free which solved both problems. Now the volume will randomly get a "choppy interuption" then go out completely.
Summary: Can't say enough about this TV - Price was great, 4 hdmi inputs and fantastic picture quality make this a perfect tv for any room. I have a Sony Bravia 46" in the living room and this was for the remodeled den/spare bedroom. Wall mounts easily and works so well that I compare the picture as good as or better than the Sony (couple years older but a lot more expensive and good for it's time). Great design that adds to the rooms usefulness and decor.
Overall it is a great unit for a very reasonable price.

Summary: After reading a lot of bad reviews of this unit, I was skeptical. When I turned the TV on, I was simply shocked: the picture quality is far beyond my expectations: the screen is vivid and actually really bright, the sound is all right (if one have the correct set-top box or cable-box, the True sound features are garbage: leave them off, use a surround system if want a hi-fi sound) and the usual features are all present.
Summary: I purchased the Vizio e421va for my bedroom two months ago. Bottom line - (1) it has a very good, bright picture, (2) great contrast, (2) and it gives you all the basic features of an entry-level LCD hdtv. Basically, it does everything it advertises it will do. If you want more features & better quality just know that the price range will begin to skyrocket. For the price, this has been a solid value for the money. Sure, you can do better.
Overall decent, would have chose another television

Summary: Its a great tv for the price.. the sound has some problems you have to tinker with.. and my remote control sensor was bad on my tv.. It wasn't worth hassling to me.. I got great picture quality and decent sound..
Summary: I'm pleased with the picture and the sound is better than my old LG. I did have to turn the ambient light sensor off and put the scene mode to cinema to get the Dish Network IR remote to work properly. The RF remote worked fine. I've read online other TV brands are having issues with Dish Network IR remotes so I don't think this is the TVs fault. Overall I'm very pleased with this model.
