Summary: Incredible almost 5-year old TV for those wanting to maintain more privacy by doing w/out WIFI but still get a uniquely-configured & awesome TV. Used to stroll through BJ's Wholesale back in the day & drool over this TV. And who needs WIFI? You have Roku, you have sundry other products that provide easily toggled on/off web streaming ability. And you can hook up your Roku via any of the 3 HDMI connections, not to mention a couple more for USB that aren't "service" ports.
Summary: I have had problems with this TV shortly after receiving it. This TV would power off unexpectedly and would have to un plug it from the outlet to reset. Here it is 10 months later and now it won't power up at all. Shame on me for not pursuing this earlier because I have no recourse to get this resolved as the return option has expired.
Summary: This is the second Vizio TV I have purchased. The first one was the XVT series. The strongest selling point is the value. I found the technical abilities for the price was the best out there. While the more expensive TVs may offer more automated features and connection features, Vizio seems to have blended the best in a solid design. Since the unit is plug-and-play, I recommend to go the extra mile to optimize the picture for your viewing situation and image provider.
Summary: Almost immediately after pulling the tv out of the box you can see why a 1080p 42inch would cost you under $400. It looks kind of cheap and is thick. But as soon as you turn it on and play a movie at 1080p its ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I was surprised to discover how light it was and the screen is absolutely flawless and i still can't believe the picture quality of this tv. It comes very close to my Samsung Smart TV, it's definitely on the same level.
Summary: I am very happy with my purchase of this Vizio TV. I especially like the "smart" feature that allows us to use Netflix, Hulu, etc. directly from the TV. Before this, we had used Roku to access those additions. The picture is clear and sharp, the colors are gorgeous. I happen to like the 42" screen as it is the perfect size for my large living room.
Summary: I love my Vizio, no, it isn't what Smart TV's are like today, but I just need HDMI, and a image, and Vizio provides. I have used it, abused it, moved it and dropped it. I think I'll sit with a vizio for the rest of my life. 1 con: settings could be easier to navigate.
