Summary: The picture and audio are good enough, but the TV itself is very sluggish. It takes forever to bring up the Netflix app, which is primarily why I use it. Once Netflix is running, everything is fine, but it can seriously take 2-3 minutes from the time I turn the power on until I'm in the Netflix browser. Also, on two or three separate occasions, the TV has completely stopped responding to the remote AND the buttons on the side panel.
Summary: Easy set up but real problems with design of remote and apps. Buttons on remote are very small and some are overly sensitive and others quite difficult to get to work. A real delay from time button is pushed to when TV responds leads to real problems when you get a little impatient. Worst remote of any TV related product I have ever owned. Picture is fine. Was surprised that sound comes from behind TV.
Summary: I have owned this model now for about three months and it has been very frustrating. I bought it for the Internet apps and built-in wireless. It connects to the wireless network easily enough, but it does take some time to start up and get fully connected--on the order of about 30 seconds. I realize that may seem trivial, but when you compare that to a similar TV that starts up and connects in seconds, it becomes an issue.
Summary: We bought this for the sole purpose of streaming netflix in the bedroom. Unfortunately, using an apple airport express router, The TV was only able to connect three times over wireless. That was 3 times out of 50 tries. Each attempt to connect shows a progress image for atleast 5 minutes each time before it fails. Moving the modem/router into the same room as the tv did not help any.
Summary: picture is okay, sound okay, easy access to Netflix is nice, but Internet access info is in very small print on the screen so we had to rearrange the bedroom to get it close enough to read. Takes forever to start up, has a lag just changing channels, amazon prime works fine with the featured movies, but if you search for a movie, then try to watch it, it never stops loading !! Think we have to return it since it doesn't do all it's suppose to.
Internet capablilty worked for 1 year and then broke...
28 August 2012
Summary: Worked great for 1 year & 1 month and then the tv was not able to connect to the internet/netflix wirelessly or wired with an ethernet cable. I tried all the fixes Vizio suggested and we knew it was not a fault on the wireless (incorrect password, etc) or wired with an ethernet cable (bad cable) because a laptop in the same room connected flawlessly. It didn't slowly go out it went out suddenly.
Summary: We got this TV for our cabin up north. "There is no cable or wifi, so the only way we're using it is for playing video devices. I can't say how well it works as a 'smart' TV, but I can say that the picture is superb." That's what I wrote when we first got the TV last summer. However, by December, the TV had stopped working. It's very disappointing to have to hassle around with a busted TV, dragging it back to the Cities again.
Summary: This TV has a serious flaw. It shuts down at least once a week. The logo flashes and then turns orange which means that it has turned itself off. Nothing interrupts this process, and it is annoying to say the least.
Summary: I have seen other Vizio set in store with good pictures. This set had no brightness no matter what was done in the settings. the differance between its picture controls ( Movie, Advance, etc.....)was hardly noticeable. It was just a poor picture espicially on analog. It could have been a defective set as the reviews were very mixed on this set. All said I was very pleased with Amazon's service as the set was returned and credited.
