Summary: When we first received the TV we loved it but after 7 months of limited use it, the TV now has a split screen. This TV is not used all the time and when it is it's only used to watch TV & on occasion to watch DVD's. We received the TV on March 12, 2011 and today is Nov 14, 2011. We are now trying to do a hard reset but I am upset at the quality. We had a huge 37 inch dinosaur TV by Sanyo that lasted us 10 years and it only broke because the movers dropped it!
Summary: I ordered this TV for school. Had it sent to a friend in town so I could pick it up the next day when I arrived. All went smooth and 2 days later it was set up in my room. As many people noted the sound is atrocious but I wasn't worried about that because we used my stereo as the speakers on my former roommate's TV. The same setup worked great.
Summary: I returned this tv and replaced it with a 32 inch LG! The best move I have ever made. Amazon is amazing. They took back the tv without any freight charges and no questions ask. LONG LIVE AMAZON! Fight the good fright against the state of California over sales tax!!!!!!!!!
Summary: After one week and less than 4 hours of use the television would make a horribly loud static sound and the picture would go fuzzy. I could cycle power and get it to work for ~30 more minutes. In more than one case the sequence of events resulted in two little girls running for their lives out of their play room. Maybe I got one the few bad ones in the lot, but I am not getting a replacement, but instead returned it for a refund.
Summary: I have had this TV for 8 months purchased from Walmart, and today my tv would not stay on, I am going through this process with customer support at Vizio with the USB firmware update thing which I won't get for 5 days in the snail mail, they would not do it through email. I have my doubts at this time it will not work, and let them know I am hesitant in buying a new 55 inch for my Living room in the future.
Why so many good reviews for such a terrible product?

Summary: I have 2 Vizio's in the house so I figured that this would be a good buy since the TV's i have have been amazing. I was wrong. The TV looks pretty when powered off and that's about it. There was so much light bleeding on the screen it affected 1/3 of the screen. It was the worst that I had EVER seen. To top it off the sound was also terrible. Some other reviews have stated that the sound isn't the best, but it truly is ridiculous how bad it is.
Summary: Sent this as a gift but when I went to visit my daughter I noticed the sound was crazy--going up at wierd times and they are putting up with it. I was shocked but they didn't want to complain.
Summary: We bought this set on Thanksgiving Day for my wife's apartment - she lives away for work. It didn't get used at all between Christmas and New Year's. In early February the sound started acting up after less than six weeks of actual use. The sound problems were different than what has been described here. Too late to return to Amazon so we had to contact Vizio.
Summary: The tv sound jumps up and down picture distorts and then the TV shuts down. Called to have it fixed 1 call to them went good they are sending a repair man to fix got an OSR number and waited and waited I called 1 month later and they had lost it so it started over 3 weeks later a guy comes to fix. It worked for 1 day and did the same plus when changing channels the sound disappears until you change the back and forth a few times.
Summary: The Vizio 32" LED tv has a great picture - but terrible, terrible sound quality. I get a richer sound listening to an AM station on my ten-year-old little clock radio by my bed. Vizio technical support says it's because the TV is so thin, there's not enough room for decent speakers. Their suggested solution: buy a $200 Vizio "sound bar" or get a home theatre system to improve the sound. VERY disappointed.
