Summary: i think vizio makes good lcd's BUT this is not one of them. it started flickering in 3 weeks. then the seller wouldn't even support it. because i had the tv over 15 days . after dealing with vizio tech support i found out this seller is NOT authorized vizio retailer. therefore the factory vizio warranty does not apply at all. so if YOUR vizio tv has trouble like mine. you will also be in my situation.
Summary: Got the TV in good shape, didn't open the box since it said 720P on the cover and was expecting and HD TV (oops). Wanted a 1080P for computer monitor. Will see if the return works out or if they will make me pay for not reading into their description what was missing.
Summary: I have only had this TV three weeks Let me tell you I love, love, love the aesthetic design of this set. Unfortunately it has been nothing but problems since day one. There is a photo mode on this TV which week one I accidentally went into and then when I went to change the input back to what I had it on the TV would only show in black in white.
Excerpt: We are techies, computer literate, don't watch a lot of tv so had not been in a hurry to get a flat panel. Daughter's tv quit, so we gave her our old one and picked up this one. Received tv as gift - problems from the moment we got it out of the box. Our first flatscreen tv. We took our time carefully removing it from the box & mounting it on the stand. Although it was shipped to us from the retail establishment, everything from the box to the tv itself was pristine.
Summary: I got this TV at the beginning of March 2012. The picture and sound were OK (but not great) for my bedroom until the beginning of August when the unit, while its power to the set light glowed, simply would not turn on. I've always been somewhat leary of buying products from companies with such a short history (10 years of existence in this case) compared to the major bands like Sony, Panasonice etc.
Summary: I bought this tv in February of 2011 form a local store. It worked fine for about two months and then my HDMI ports quit working. It took me a couple of months to call and get them fixed but it got fixed under warranty in September of 2011 by getting the mother board replaced. Well here I am six months later out of the tv's one year warranty and the tv went off and won't turn back on. I called Vizio and explained the problem and she told me that the motherboard is bad.
Summary: Bought this set from Target about 2 months ago, worked ok for a month then the picture became distorted. Bought for a workout room so I wanted something cheap and well I certainly did get cheap. I contacted Vizio, product was still under warranty. They had me email in some photos of the screen, went ahead and did that. The replacement process is that they ship you a new set and then you ship back the defective one in the box they sent to you.
