Good TV

Mahdi M., Newegg
2 March 2012
  • Summary: It's a solid TV for the price range. If my budget was in the 800-1000 range I would have bought something different, but for a 42" LED LCD @ 500.. It's great!
  • Pros: Good picture Cheap (at current price of 500) No dead pixels Pretty
  • Cons: Bad sound (but who uses stock sound anyway) Not very many inputs/outputs...

User Review

Roger H., Newegg

  • Pros: Nice picture Audio seems good Reasonable enough settings and config.
  • Cons: From the warranty at the back of the manual (this is why I gave it one star 1 year warranty for all parts excluding the light source...it does appear to be covered for labor. So the only part that is likely to fail is not covered by ANY warranty.

Buy this TV!

Philip N., Newegg
24 February 2012
  • Summary: This TV is not a Smart TV, this is not a Con. If you want a Smart TV, buy that. This TV is simply a great product from a company that has proven themselves time and time again in the display industry. When CRTs where it ViewSonic made the best! ...and this TV lives up to their reputation.
  • Pros: - Great Picture - All necessary settings are adjustable - Native 1080 resolution supported I set this TV up right away and plugged in my HTPC, my experience has been nothing but amazing every since.
  • Cons: None, really, none.

Good Value

15 December 2011
  • Summary: Bought it during black friday. Box was damaged but no damage to the unit. No dead pixels out of the box. Bluray movies look amazing. MW2 look awesome. HD tv channels look great. Speakers are decent. It's a decent upgrade from a 27' LCD.
  • Pros: - fast responsive remote
  • Cons: - no DVI support - VGA does not support native resolution - noisy - poor driver support from ViewSonic - menu GUI looks outdated
