Summary: Viewsonic continues to produce well crafted video products and this tv is no exception. Lots of inputs (3 HDMI) including an "S Video" that seems to be going away on other units. Picture and sound are fine the only complaint I have is that some of menu text seems to be too small. All and all a good quality product...
Summary: I received this TV as a birthday present and I like it for the most part. The sound is terrible, though. There is always a slight hum that comes with the display, but when I turn off the display (switch it to "Audio only" mode), the humming goes away. I asked around and it may be a high frequency sound due to some wires tangled (?) Either way, the sound is very annoying and sometimes it gives me headaches.
Summary: Both of my matching viewsonic 27' monitors have failed and the second failed shortly out of warranty. Their customer service sucks. The first repair required I pay for shipping to have it repaired. OK, I did that. Now with the warrant recently expired, the same all green screen problem happened to the second monitor, but they won't cover the repair. Telling me it's not a known issue.
Summary: I purchased this tv to fit into an armoire in my bedroom. It is not bad for a smaller basic HDTV and the price was right. I have only had it for about 5 weeks but so far it has seemed to be a good buy. The set up was easy, color is good and it has a nice sharp picture. The sound is somewhat tinny but is acceptable for a bedroom.
Summary: Perfect size for a bedroom wall. Great picture with beautiful colors. Sound is better than expected and surpasses most other flat-screen TVs that I've seen/heard. Would give this item five stars except for a few knit-picky issues that drive me nuts. 1.) The Closed-Captioning is positioned right in the middle of the screen and is so small that it cannot be read at a resonable distance.
Summary: Bought this HDTV because it was a hard to find 27" not a 26" and while Viewsonic is not known for TVs their flat monitors have generally been good products. I have measured it and it is a true 27. Nice picture and excellent side to side viewing. I gave it 4 stars because the top to bottom viewing is very variable. To explain: I have the tv on a stand in the kitchen which is 37" high. When I view the tv sitting at the kitchen counter the picture is fine.
Summary: This set is just ik average set for the price. I have been using this as a bedroom set and it is hook up to a stereo system which makes the sound better for listening to music from the xm radio or to enhance movies, but it is not a Sony Bravia type. I got it because of the fact that is 27" and to find that in other brands...good luck it fit perfectly on the entertaiment center of the bedroom. It has been six months and I am still ok with it.
Summary: 11/13/2011 - I use this to go over my clients' accounts with them. It's nice, bright and clear. I've only had it for 10 months so I can't speak to longevity, but it is working great. Update 5/31/2012 - Unfortunately I'm starting to see image shadows on my screen. For example, on my browser window that I have open right now, there is a faint line that runs about 1/16 inch to the right of the edges of my browser that move along with the window when I move it.
Summary: After 1 week of calling customer support, this tv still does not work with satellite receiver (direct tv). There aren't any instructions in the manual or on the web page and none of the customer service reps are useful. Apparently, this tv is not designed to work with digital programming. Also, the tv remote looks like a cheap piece of plastic -- no subbstance and only rudimentary buttons.
Summary: I love the picture on the tv, especially HD. My complaint is that you can't see the volume and other controls, like sleep timer, because the visuals are too light to see unless you stand on top of the tv and squint. Can't understand why company make this error. Notwithstanding, a great value for the price.
