Summary: Very hard to find 27" TVs (which I needed, 32" couldn't fit in the old entertainment center) and this was the best I could find. Make sure to take measurements before buying. Being used strictly as a TV with cable and DVD player, not a computer monitor or console monitor.
Pros: Bought it for my mother on Christmas and she loves it. - Looks beautiful in HD. - Sound is great. No humming that some other reviewers are experiencing. - Great price when compared to other 27" TVs on the market. - It's a Viewsonic--they always makes quality.
Cons: - When changing zoom modes they use a gradient color theme from light blue to white with white lettering which makes it very hard to read which zoom mode you're viewing. - The stand feels a bit flimsy but no problems with it yet.
Summary: Newegg has been great through this process. Not a problem with RMA or communications. For this being my first ViewSonic purchase I'm not happy. I've decided to stay away from any further purchase from ViewSonic, even if it's on sale. I took a gamble on a sale price and I paid for it...
Pros: The monitor looks great. Number of inputs.
Cons: RMA on the first monitor. New monitor same problems. No sound. Loud audible hum from backlight when choosing anything but "high" setting, not very adjustable. Staying on the dynamic setting to avoid noise. Unable to get speakers to work for a second time.
Summary: I also own the venerable Viewsonic N2750W and, although its 7 years old, it is still a better model. The quality of the plastics, the matte finish, the speakers, the inclusion of PIP & POP, the firmware's built in sleep behavior... all of these features are missing from the VT2730.
Pros: Overscan option built into the unit so its very compatible with using it as a PC monitor (which I am doing). You can name the inputs whatever you want (some other TV manufacturers still haven't learned that their customers WANT to do this!). No dead pixels in my unit. The LCD panel itself is quit...
Cons: Audible hum from backlight when choosing anything but "high" setting. Backlight is not very adjustable, you get 4 settings and all but the high settings hum. I seem to have settled on "medium" as my preferred setting. Going to see if I can get used to the hum. Speakers are awful. They sound hollo...
Summary: Had this for a couple weeks. Picture is great. The unit has many choices for input and output (video and audio). This is lacking on many new TVs, so that is great. The sound from the built-in speakers is only fair (very common on TVs today).
Summary: Product shipped on time in a box that was adequate for shipping (as opposed to the reports of other reviewers - TV was packaged in it's display box, but there was enough padding to ensure safe delivery) The screen quality has proven acceptable for all manners of tasks, from gaming, to use with a...
Summary: I now own two ViewSonic LCD's. I replaced a Coby which I returned to another vendor for poor electronic reliability and very OVER DRIVEN SOUND, distorted. The ViewSonic is highly recommended. For my money, I would not waste it on a higher end Name as it is throwing money away.
Summary: I bought this for my mother. Her cable bill went up and she refuses to pay more so she cut the cord. While her old tube TV doesnt have a HD tuner built in obviously. I figure she needed an upgrade. From what I can see, The picture is pretty good and the speakers does the job.
Not that great, although the price is good for the specs.

Summary: I ended up exchanging this TV once, and then returning the second one as well. This is because of two reasons, one being more important. The more important issue I have with this TV is the annoying amount of backlight bleeding that is emitted around the edge of the display.
Summary: This little HDTV is incredible. The picture quality is as good as larger quality HDTVs like the Mitsubishi and high end Sony's. You won't make a mistake with this HDTV it's picture performance is out of this world, at a very friendly price.
