POOR customer service!
Jin Gong, Amazon
8 November 2013
Summary: OK TV but POOR customer service! I bought this TV from Amazon three years ago and it has been an OK TV until last month it went dead. I called ViewSonic Customer Service about what I could do with it and I was told that they would charge at least $150 to repair it since it was out of warranty. I then asked if I could get a copu of the SERVICE Manual so that I might be able to fix it by myself with the manual.
Summary: I use it as a tv and a computer monitor, and it's been great for almost 3 years now. Some people complained about graininess, but I've only noticed that when I'm trying to play a DVD upconverted to 1080p, which looks pretty awful. Otherwise, everything looks amazing. Great picture and digital audio from the tv to the stereo.
Summary: This was the 2nd monitor I bought to add to my office desk and they are both connected to my Laptop. The reason I bought this was due to its built-in HDTV Tuner, which allows me to sometime watch TV on one monitor while I continue working on my laptop using another monitor. The picture quality is quite sharp and the sound is quite loud. Another thing to note is that it comes with many Connection options.....in all I am very happy with my purchase.
ViewSonic VT2300LED 23-Inch 1920x1080p LED LCD HDTV with Built-in HDTV

Summary: ViewSonic VT2300LED 23-Inch 1920x1080p LED LCD HDTV with Built-in HDTV; La calidad de este TV- MONITOR es impresionante, las imagenes son muy nitidas y complementandolas con un buen sistema surround.
Summary: Trust me when it tell you this TV is great... for small rooms! As My bedroom can't allow itself to harbor a big HDTV, i was looking for something small and to play my PS3 games in HD. I don't repent from buying this TV. But apart from stylish, it serves as your main TV... and your PC, even better with one of the 3 HDMI ports. It doesn't trick you with its featurea, be3cause its a true Full HD TV.
Summary: Unfortunately for me, my ViewSonic TV completely lost it's picture one year to the day I bought it. The picture has been great until today. The screen now has a black area over 95 % of the screen and it is a dead piece of junk as far as I'm concerned. I double checked everything but of course nothing has been changed or modified on the TV and my cable provider has no HD issues on any other of my TVs in the home.
Summary: So someone here said this works well as a TV and not as a Monitor. I'd like to disagree; maybe they had an outdated video card. I have a Dell Vostro 1310 laptop (3years old) and I bought this as an external display to convert the laptop into a Desktop. Picture quality is awesome, I get full 1920x1080 resolution display just using a plain old VGA cable. Great sharpness of image, absolutely no picture flaws that I can see (and I'm not a person who has low standards).
Summary: I wanted to replace a 23" Samsung LCD TV in our kitchen because the picture has never been really sharp. I read a number of reviews that said that this Viewsonic had a "fabulous" picture. So I bought it and connected it to my Direct TV cable (non-HD receiver). The picture is sharper than the Samsung, but not as sharp as "fabulous" would imply. I have adjusted it with all of the controls that are available and the picture is "decent".
