It's an ok TV.

William H., Newegg
28 January 2007
  • Summary: This is a budget LCD TV so only get it when it is inexpensive when in comparison with other LCD TVs on the market. The rebate did come within a somewhat resonable time.
  • Pros: Great TV for high definition viewing and somewhat expected for standard definition viewing. It doesn't look that bad when sitting in the living room or where ever you want to put the TV. A good amount of outputs; however, it needs perhaps 1 or more HDMI since it only comes with 1.
  • Cons: This is ment to be a budget LCD TV and it shows in a lot of ways. The standard definition quality is only ok. The blacks are not supurb, but also not that bad. The remote is very bland and sometimes a little unresponsive. Numerous reports about the TV not compatable with several different kinds o...

A decent LCD TV

William H., Newegg
16 December 2006
  • Summary: Only get this TV if it is on sale. There will be better LCD TVs out there when you compare it to the MSRP price.
  • Pros: The TV is good for SD quality viewing, but there can be quite an improvement in that area. HD quality content on the other hand is simply amazing with my Xbox 360 (1080i). Aesthetics wise it does pretty well as it is a LCD and not too bulky. Some might complain it is a bit bulkier than other LCDs...
  • Cons: It only has 1 HDMI port. The remote control is pretty poor in quality. The biggest issue is the fact you have to enable mute for the TV speakers if you want to properly use your external speakers for the TV. It will save the volume settings when you turn off/turn back on the TV, but it will not s...

Good overall with big drawbacks

Anonymous, Newegg
12 November 2006
  • Summary: If you don't mind using several different remote controllers for your devices, this TV is good for the price. Personally I am looking to get a new TV simply because I have five remote controllers
  • Pros: Image quality is pretty good with DVD's and HDTV sources The on screen menus are decent There are a decent amount of inputs, 1 HDMI, 1 VGA, 2 Components, etc.
  • Cons: Image quality is poor with SDTV sources The remote control has buttons for other devices like a DVD player but the book does not explain how to set them up Universal remotes do NOT work with this TV. My Comcast Motorola DCT3416 PVR remote has a Viewsonic code but it doesn't work on this TV. I hav...

Great TV!

Matthew N., Newegg
26 June 2006
  • Summary: Great buy. Hudge TV and I use it as a computer monitor. I play games and there is not ghosting. Plus there were no dead pixles
  • Pros: HUGE TV. Great TV for the price. Has everything I need in a TV. Easy to use and I use it mainly as a computer monitor. Easy to setup and use.
  • Cons: PIP is horrible, must use HDMI as your 2ndary source. Poor remote design, hard to edit channels. Only 1 HDMI more. Blacks are alright, but still very good. Speakers make a rattling noise at high levels.
