REMOTE TRICK:

L. Liu, Amazon
5 August 2009
  • Summary: REMOTE TRICK: Own the monitor for over 3 and half years now, love it, no problem at all. Initially lot of problems with remote just like everyone else is experiencing. I called customer service many times and nobody seemed to know what's going on. They just sent me a replacement remote.

good stuff

Christopher P., Newegg

  • Summary: I can't find VESA standards for mounting it, but I think I'm going to go with the Peerless Articulating Mount for 22"- 40" TVs.
  • Pros: Great quality, good TV - especially for the price.
  • Cons: Remote is terrible, will need to get a universal remote.

Great Display

Anonymous, Newegg
6 February 2007
  • Summary: Brilliant display. No cables.
  • Pros: For the price with the rebate this is a great deal. The display has rich, bright colors, displays blacks fairly well. Sound is great once you change it to TruSurround in the menu. Otherwise the bass is too much.
  • Cons: No DVI port, but I knew it didn't have one and at this price...I can deal.

Excellent TV

Anonymous, Newegg
6 February 2007
  • Summary: Dont hook this up, stand 6 inches from it and turn it on. HDTVs by rule DO NOT look good from very close. Stand a good 5-10 feet back.. it will look alot cleaner, not because of the TV, just because thats how they work. great TV.
  • Pros: Great TV. Use it for my 360 and other video games, watch TV on it, and also have HDMI DVD player. All works fantastic. This is my first HDTV and im very happy with it. Especially for the price. LOTS OF INPUT AND OUTPUT!
  • Cons: Hmm... it doesnt have 1080p? lol

Big Beautiful Bargain -- but what time is it?

Joseph M., Newegg
5 February 2007
  • Summary: I am hoping that a new firm-ware revision might fix the fault of Time-of-Day, and Date, being displayed in GMT only! I'd be glad to receive an updated chip and install it myself.
  • Pros: Very low cost. Well-working set. I have a rooftop broadcast antenna connected, and no cable nor satellite system. Digital on-air broadcasts are displayed beautifully from PBS and the other on-air networks. PBS has 4 digital sub-channels, which the N3260w finds and logs automatically when we do th...
  • Cons: There is no provision in the menus nor any instructions in the manual for changing the Time Zone. My TV is connected to an ordinary rooftop braodcast antenna, and not to a cable nor satellite dish system. Time sugnals evidently come over the air between the video frames in the air broadcasts. Wel...
