Summary: It had a great picture and I was happy with it, but I'm not happy that it won't power up now, and it's out of warranty. Buyer beware, Toshiba expects you to buy a new TV every 1-2 years, evidently. I know this could happen with any TV, but I've been online reading horror stories of others having similar problems.
Summary: This Tv is the worst I have ever purchased. I have had it for a little over a year and it does not turn on at all. When it was working the sound was very low no matter what I do and about two months ago it started turning off by it self for no reason. My advice is to add some little more money and buy a worthy TV instead of throwing your money on the ground.
Do not buy if you have Netflix and like foreign movies.

Summary: While I think this television is just great for the most part, there is one huge flaw with it: You cannot watch any movie in Netflix with subtitles, because this model TV does not support a subtitle/audio feature with its Netflix app! This is extremely aggravating to me! Toshiba, I wish you would fix this.
Summary: I purchased this TV for my wife. We're wrapping up redecorating the bedroom and I sold the Toshiba 32" LCD that we had in there. I wanted a moderately priced 40 or 42 inch TV to mount on the wall. We cancelled our cable service so I wanted to have Netflix and connection to our PC video files built into the TV that we purchase. This Toshiba advertised these features and since my previous two Toshiba TVs were so good I thought, why not?
Summary: Pros: 120hz, great for sporting events. Nice stand Inexpensive Cons: Black level is non-existent, dark gray at best. This is very evident when seeing an advertisement and side bars are gray, not black. It is also very obvious when watching any scene at night, it always seems as if moon is out. I have turned down everything possible, but this TV just isn't capable of good blacks. Color gets washed out in certain situations for no apparent reason.
Get what you paid for - decent picture, poor warranty

Summary: I purchased this through another online retailer and when I realized it had shipped UPS, I immediately started to worry. I know how rough these boxes get handled. However, it arrived without a dent and only took 20 minuted to fully install. The software update took about 20 more minutes. The picture will look poor immediately out of the box, even with an HD signal. Give it a day to adjust to the signal before changing the setting.
Summary: I was tempted by the low price of this model, but it's picture was terrible. Playback could seem choppy at times and the default settings were awful. I only kept it for a couple of weeks before exchanging it for a Samsung that was only a little more money. I would recommend staying away from this model. I know its an LED TV, i.e. thinner etc., but the speakers are a lot worse than other models.
Summary: BOUGHT THIS TV BRAND NEW. HAD PROBLEM SINCE DAY ONE. LOSES INTERNET CONNECTION SOMETIME AND YOU HAVE TO RESET IT. IT FREEZES SOMETIME FOR NO REASON. BUT I REALLY LOVE THE PICTURE QUALITY AND THE DESIGN FOR THIS TV. SOUND QUALITY SUCKS AND YOU HAVE TO CONNECTED TO YOUR HEME THEATER SYSTEM. USB DOESN'T SUPPORT A LOT OF FORMATS AND SOMETIME IT DOESN'T READ. TO VIEW PHOTO ON THIS TV IS REALLY REALLY SLOW. BAD TV WITH GOOD PICTURE QUALITY.
Summary: I agree with the previous reviewer. The sound is extremely inconsistent, even with the dynamic volume turned off. I was looking forward to using the dynamic volume function to avoid the much higher volume of commercials, but I was sorely disappointed. With dynamic volume on, the sound drops to almost nothing at the beginning of a commercial and then builds back up within 10-15 seconds.
