Summary: I replaced this model two or three times unfortunately the first one acted up after a week a day after I burnt box so had to order same model again then from different suppliers to get same box to return ended up with reconditioned model which had huge problems from updating never again will I buy a toshiba product
Summary: Was initially happy with this TV. Great pic and ok sound. Now after owning it for 2 yrs. Any color red constantly jumps in the pic and there is an EXTREMELY annoying high pitched squeal coming from the TV....all......the....time! I will NEVER buy a Toshiba TV again.
I've been ripped off - Stopped working after one year with minimal use.

Summary: I didn't buy this tv from Amazon. Instead I bought it locally at an appliance store and put it on credit. After one year with minimal use it died. I was told today the price for repair is 500.00 for a main board. I am not sure if I should even invest that type of money in this garbage. From reading the other reviews it's apparent, Toshiba really has brought a white elephant to the market. I feel violated and sad.
Summary: We are so disappointed with our Toshiba. It seemed like a great deal, we should have know better. We have had the TV for 2 years now and we have never had a tv so frustrating before. The infrastructure of this tv is awful. 1. It take a long time for the tv to just turn on. After pushing the power button it has to "think about it." 20 seconds later the tv might turn on and it might not, you never know what it going to do.
Summary: After loosing everything in a home fire last year, I purchased 2 Toshiba 55" LCD 1080 P flat screen televisions. After 8 weeks I noticed that the picture would fade in and out. I turned the auto light censer to off and it didn't fix the problem. I contacted the co. I purchased it from, they came out looked at the problem and took the tv. The authorized repair shop ordered the parts and they were told the parts were on indefinite back order.
Summary: It was a great TV for about 6 months and then it broke down, I was not able to go the internet or watch netflix. I called Toshiba and they said they will repair it but the parts have been on back order for 3 months. When I escalated the case Toshiba case manager Josie (Boy! she was full of attitude and their policy does not allow you talk with their manager), Toshiba warranty states that they will replace it with another unit and that does not mean a "NEW" tv, they...
Summary: Toshiba...lets see..TV out of service for the 4th time in 11 months...everytime its the same issue- main board...takes 6-7 weeks for Toshiba to send some one to replace the main board. Also, Toshiba outsources the job to some local company which take their sweet time to come to your place. Their Customer service is nothing short of a disaster. I don't know how they are still in Business..need to be reported to Consumer Act. Never buy a Toshiba product again.
Summary: Writing a review in case this TV comes back into stock. I have been using it for 1.5 years in my bedroom. Picture quality is good and that is about it. Dynamic sound does not work. Instead of lowering volume for commercials that are typically louder it randomly raises and lowers the volume in the middle of shows. I was constantly having to readjust when all I wanted to do was unwind and relax in bed. I disabled this "feature.
Summary: OK One last update: Returned this T.V to store and bought another T.V. all together. This T.V is a complete joke, TV would turn off and back on with nothing happening. No way am I buying something that just turns off all by itself. Even firmware updates should resolve issues if this is the case.
