Summary: I know I am not the only one with this problem. This TV turns on by itself. I have had it replaced with a refurbished model and it now does it more frequently. I can only imagine how much electricity this TV wastes while I go to work and sleep. It has actually woke me up on occasion. I try to remember to unplug it, but as small of task it may seem it is easy to forget. This TV has become tedious to own.
Summary: Great item, arrived on time, great picture, all hook up's work great, item was as described. The sound could be a little better quality but overall I find this item to be exactly as described and I would recommend to anyone who wants a huge TV for a great price!
Summary: I really like the TV except for one thing which no one has been able to explain to me. I have it connected to a DVR cable box. When I change channels, it takes 8 seconds to respond. Not too big a deal for me, but it bugs my husband to no end!!!
Summary: This is by far the biggest TV I've ever had and the picture is great during the day or at night. This TV is not Netflix capable by itself, you'll need a Wii, Xbox or something else to connect thru with.
Summary: I recently purchased the Toshiba 55g300u from another retailer and ended up returning it. I was looking to replace a 46 inch Sharp LCD with a larger 55 inch LCD. I chose the Toshiba for the size and price. Unfortunately, this TV was not going to work. Terrible light bleed and off-angle viewing made it an easy decision to return it. While watching a blu ray, I noticed the black bars across the top and bottom were almost flashing light and dark as the scenes played out.
Summary: I searched and searched for TVs for months, waiting for prices to drop and comparing pictures. One day a salesman said to me, "you know that when you take it home you won't notice the difference because the other tv's won't be there." It was the smartest advice that I ever heard. So, I resolved that I wanted a big LCD TV, with four hdmi inputs, and quick response rate, for the best price and I found the Toshiba. A couple of months later and I could not be happier.
Summary: Compared the DLP I bought five years ago, it is much better quality and only half the price. I connect it to the PC. It works fine. It does not have reflection when sitting at the angle. The only problem I have is when I tried to connect to the wireless headphone, there is no audio output. I have to connect the TV to the amplifier/receiver. Then use its phone jack to connect the wireless headphone, a tedious step.
Summary: Bought the 46 inch a month ago and liked it so much I bought the 55 inch version also. Just plugged in and picture was perfect. Sound has been fine for me. The 55 inch one came with great deliver service. They called me a few days before then the day before to confirm. Two guys and they not only take it out of the box but also set it up.
Summary: Excellent product, great picture, easy-to-use, versatile. The only 2 minor complaints I have are: (1) The speakers are a little inadequate for a large room or a room with noise in it. (2) The remote control will control multiple devices, but to do so, you must slide a little switch back and forth to select the device to control - cumbersome - (whereas many other remotes just have a line of quick push-buttons for selecting the device you want).
