Excellent picture, Game Mode sound problematic

JennDC, Amazon
9 January 2013
  • Summary: The Good: I am pretty confident that this TV has the best quality to price ratio I could have found. The picture is amazing: great contrast, deep blacks (for an LED), and colors that really pop. The design is simple, the screen super thin, the settings easy to control.

Overall pretty great

ifthenelsenull, Amazon
17 October 2012
  • Summary: This TV was purchased as a replacement for a plasma which was a little big for the space it was occupying (first world problem). It's as expected with a great picture, great sound and it was incredibly easy to hang. It's really thin and light especially compared to the plasma.

Works Great as Computer Monitor

Ben, Amazon
22 September 2012
  • Summary: I bought this TV to use solely as a computer monitor. For this purpose the 50L5200U is perfect, despite needing a little time getting it set up specifically for a computer. For a computer you need to set "Game Mode" to On and "Pic Size" to Native.

Great Budget option

M. Patel, Amazon

  • Summary: I will let the folks a CNET get into the details. But this TV gives you great bang for the buck. If you are like me and did not need/want features like webapps, 3D, local dimming, and 240Hz. This offers great picture quality at a good price. CNET review: [...]

You get your moneys worth

Gimmesamoore, Amazon
6 June 2012
  • Summary: Lets be real about this tv, this is a mid level B brand HDTV. With that being said, you get exactly what you paid for. PROS: Its physical appearance. Its one of the better looking $500-$600 TVs out there, slim with a stylish bezel. Simple to assemble and setup. CONS: The TV does not swivel or tilt.

Great set

Brett, Amazon
6 June 2012
  • Summary: I have had this set for about 6 months and it a great set. Out of the box it need some tweaks with the settings but i found movie mode to be the best starting point( IMO the rest of the preset picture modes look bad). I also tweaked the picture with a calibration disc and noticed a difference.

Great deal for no-frills movie viewing, NOT for competitive multiplayer

Walking Tree, Amazon
6 June 2012
  • Summary: It has strength in exactly what I was looking for; a giant gorgeous picture and it does a great job with 120Hz, certain movies almost look 3D without having to wear glasses and it is lifelike. A little bit of a green push but I prefer green over red accentuation.
