Summary: I bought the Toshiba Regza in 09'. After less than three years a line developed on the screen. OK, not too big a deal. Then 3 more lines developed. Now 3 1/2 years later the screen is fried. (not a power surge) It was nice until then, but what does that matter if it only lasts 3 1/2 years. I have a 15 yr old Sanyo tube tv from Wal-Mart's clearance isle and is still going great. In a few years I'll give a review on the Samsung LED. Stay tuned.
Toshiba TV's will be DOA in within 29 months - called Toshiba with no resolve.

Summary: First, one line of dead pixels across the bottom, 3 months later then two. About the same time, the sound started degrading. Two more months, now flickering; top half screen dark, bottom bright - flicker, flicker. A total waste of money. I have had two Toshiba laptops and was impressed with the build, and even a Toshiba 32" Tube TV lasted 8 years, not too bad. - Apparently the LCD-TV division quality is sub-par at best. Big issues with the screens.
Not even 90 days and my TV's in the repair shop...

Summary: So I ordered this TV from Amazon on February 8th - it was delivered within a week and initially I was very impressed. Easy delivery and set up and everything that it promised was there - great picture quality (especially with my PS3), etc. But on Wednesday, two and a half months after use, a flashing orange light appeared on the set before the picture went black.
Summary: Everything was fine with our Toshiba Regza 47" screen tv until the sound suddenly starting cutting out unexpectedly. Sometimes turning the tv off and on again helped, sometimes nothing would fix the issue for hours at a time - then, just as unexpectedly, the sound would return. After doing some online research, I find out that I am far from alone. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix a fault which is only 'intermittent'. I wish now that we had bought another brand...
