Summary: I have the Toshiba REGZA 47ZV650U and love the tv. I had the tv for about 4 years now and have not had 1 problem with it yet. I use the tv everyday because I use it both as a tv and my computer monitor via HDMI. I even leave it on for hours sometimes overnight and still, 4 years later, as good as it was when I first purchased it. I would easily recommend this tv over many of the higher end models.
Pros: The picture is great. Plenty of adjustment options in the menu to capture the style and look you are trying to view. 240Hz refresh rate gives me crisp clear video without any motion blur. Great sound from build in speakers.
Cons: Unable to max out on the PC inputs resolution but if you computer has a HDMI output you can connect it and get at least 1080p and just not use the PC input. Not the worst but not that great viewing darks and shadows.
Summary: I bought the Toshiba Regza in 09'. After less than three years a line developed on the screen. OK, not too big a deal. Then 3 more lines developed. Now 3 1/2 years later the screen is fried. (not a power surge) It was nice until then, but what does that matter if it only lasts 3 1/2 years. I have a 15 yr old Sanyo tube tv from Wal-Mart's clearance isle and is still going great. In a few years I'll give a review on the Samsung LED. Stay tuned.
Summary: I just upgraded my toshiba 47zv650u after 4 years and moved it from my Living room to my bed room. I have to say Its quality for the price has been magnificent. The loos were perfect and the ease of operation is something people need to take seriously when purchasing a Tv.
Summary: love my toshiba. I am not that anal about picture quality but i did have friends over that told me the pic was excellent. no problems with it at all. looking into another toshiba for guest room. they seem to have the best prices.
Toshiba TV's will be DOA in within 29 months - called Toshiba with no resolve.

Summary: First, one line of dead pixels across the bottom, 3 months later then two. About the same time, the sound started degrading. Two more months, now flickering; top half screen dark, bottom bright - flicker, flicker. A total waste of money. I have had two Toshiba laptops and was impressed with the build, and even a Toshiba 32" Tube TV lasted 8 years, not too bad. - Apparently the LCD-TV division quality is sub-par at best. Big issues with the screens.
Summary: Got this TV through compusa for $900 :) Tv does reflect in the room I have it in. Nothing big. I had a problem where after 30mins of watching tv through my box the sound went crazy. After off/on the cable box it was back to normal. That has actually stopped and cleared up. Maybe it was a wire. Otherwise, the tv so far is great. Been almost 1 year.
Summary: I did my homework. My last Toshiba was a Cinema Series HD and was the last CRT Toshiba sold. There were a few people that were worried about the sound. That has not been a problem. I use a surround sound system and do not really use the TV's sound, except when my wife uses it, because she is not good with more than one remote. I built a Win 7 Media PC with a built-in HDMI. I had a lot of issues with the picture flickering.
