Summary: The TV failed after 2 years. I now have to replace the main board. I cant get a quote from an authorized repair facility, or the part from the Toshiba reseller. One repair facility did say they would give me a quote if I gave them $20 to diagnose the issue. Anyway this TV is garbage. Why have 120hz if it isnt 3D? Dont tell me its for sports when the refresh rate from cable is 60hz, and for movies is either 24hz or 48hz...
Summary: The screen went black after 2 years. It was working fine until one day while watching a program it just went blank. I am disabled and on a fixed income, and in order for a tech to come out and evaluate it will cost me $95.00. I got another quote for $250 to $500.00 to fix it. It is a shame, but I would do better to purchase another one. I can't afford to purchase another one, so I am stuck with a black box on the wall with sound and no picture.
Summary: Stay away! Google the tv & all you will see is problems with blank screens. From only a few months old on. Mine died after 2yrs. I took it to an authorised Tishiba repair shop where they originally said $200 to fix. A week later when I was expecting it was fixed, I get a call saying it's a different problem & will cost more then the tv is worth to fix ($1200ish). I'm not impressed at all, & since it's out of warranty Toshiba has washed their hands.
had a really great, clear, sharp picture, until....it flickered...and just.went.off

Summary: I got this Toshiba tv model 46L5200U about 2 years ago. It had a really great, clear, sharp picture, until....it flickered...and just.went.off. It still powers up, Toshiba appears on the screen and for a moment or two, a picture. Then, it's gone! The sound still works fine, but that's not usually why one buys a tv. I see on support forums that this has happened to others, in some cases in a year or less, generating a $300 repair bill.
Summary: My remote control was not working so I had to deal with Toshiba support. First of all support team is all foreigners and very hard to understand. I gave them all my information and then the guy told me he would have someone else call me because he could not register my TV. BTW I registered it the day I got delivery.
Summary: This is a basic "un-smart" TV and, in summary, it does its job well. Picture quality is excellent straight out of the box. Sound is OK, but we use a sound bar in any case. With 3 HDMI, plus PC and one RGB, it is well supplied with inputs. As with some other reviewers, our only complaint is with the really s-l-o-w start up. It takes a long time for the TV to acknowledge an "on" signal from the remote, even the little green light doesn't come on immediately.
Summary: My TV stopped working when I had it only a year and two months. Screen just went black! Tech Support for Toshiba is pathetic to say the least. Most 18year old kids know more about a tv then they do. Stay away from this manufacturer! I have own several products of theirs and the newer stuff they make is crap! God Bless.
Summary: I purchased a similar Toshiba TV in 46" that I had for 4 years. The video just went out. I went online and checked what could be wrong, just to find hundreds of people with the same issue. You may be one of the ones that keep your video, but if you like a "robust" TV that will last more than 5 years, you might want to check elsewhere.
