  • Summary: Yesterday my new HDTV arrived, but I wasn’t that impressed. The quality was only a bit better than before, obviously a larger screen, and the sound wasn’t much better than my old TV. So I called Comcast Cable as I had a hunch that some of my problems was the cable box.
  • Pros: sleek looking easy to assemble sound system is fantastic
  • Cons: none

Not the TV I was hoping for

  • Summary: I am VERY picky... perhaps this panel will suite your needs, but it did not work out for me. The Sammy was just a c-note more at time of purchase. I suggest either a Samsung 630 series, which I settled on, or Sony W series if you can afford the extra couple hundred.

  • Summary: I have been debating on buying an HDTV for quite a while and I'm glad I finally went for it. It may be wise to wait until the digital conversion happens next year but I didn't want to wait anymore.
  • Pros: It's a 40 inch screen but it fits in a space where a 37 inch would go. Very narrow bezel makes it easier for your eyes to focus on the picture without being distracted by a huge border. As far as I could tell the picture quality was on par (if not better) than S**y and S*****g and the speakers so...
  • Cons: Contrast, brightness, and color may need a little bit of tweaking right out of the box but it's nothing that can't be done in 5 or 10 minutes. The remote is pretty large in size but that doesn't bother me as it does everything that a remote should do and probably won't get lost in my couch cusion...
