Summary: I first purchased this set in October 2012. Freeview did not work and it had to be replaced. The replacement came damaged, I had to replace it. Then I had relatively acceptable service until yet again, Freeview packed up. The handbook is utterly useless and I defy anyone other than a practised person to get the thing set up and working using only the information contained therein. It is very nearly impossible to use he 3D facility without losing patience. We gave up.
Summary: bought this t.v for my sons christmas box unfortunatley i did not check it when it arrived as i hid it out of his way.when he opened it on christmas morning the screen was smashed.got in touch with them as soon as i could but been passed around different advisors all saying different things, very upset about this, have been a customer for years now im having to go down the legal route to get any justice.
Summary: My set arrived from Amazon and appeared fine at first; I spent a good few hours setting the TV up up as I wanted to take advantage of the free to air satellite tuner (not freesat unfortunately so lot's of reordering of the channels required). That done I started looking for the USB recording function which to my great surprise was missing/disabled!
Toshiba - used to last for years now last a few weeks

Summary: I am speaking from experience on this - do not buy this television. I researched for years before i took the plunge and bought this television. Finally Toshiba, a brand i respected had brought out a television that was worth getting. Good 2D picture, lacklustre 3D (but i didnt buy it for that) - HDD recording (which is rubbish, cant get it to playback) and HDD viewing, which i have enjoyed. But here is the problem - i am on the second version of this television.
