Summary: After a few years this TV is still going strong, considering it was purchased at a 50% discount, this is easily one of my best purchases from Newegg.
Pros: Great TV. My first HDTV actually, truly mind blowing the difference between SDTV and HDTV. This TV was a great buy, you may not hear a lot about Toshiba as far as the whole fight for who has the nicest TVs, but this thing is a quality product.
Summary: I had hoped this tv would last much longer than it did.
Pros: Very good display during the time it worked properly.
Cons: After a year and a few months, the color suddenly doesn't display correctly. Apparently it's indicative of a chip gone bad. Solid colors don't have much trouble, but gradients of any kind are now way out of whack.
Summary: This was my first TV post college, and I have to say I'm very satisfied. Its a great value buy for someone looking for something to last, but at the same time definitely not a videophile's first choice.
Pros: Great size to price ratio. Good quality at price range.
Cons: There are two separate options for dynamic brightness/ contrast, neither of which work particularly well and can be hard to find in the menus to turn off.
Summary: I own the 37RV525R which is the 37" Version of this TV, Purchased at NewEgg, Shipping was fast and the TV arrived undamaged, although the box did had a fist size hole in it, I was Lucky there.
Pros: Great Picture, Accurate Colors, Great Price, Has both Digital and Analog Audio outputs, 4 HDMI, Speakers are good, not great, I can also use it as a computer monitor and to watch streaming HD from Laptop to TV via HDMI. Has a Native Mode.
Cons: Piano Black finish scratches easily, use only a microfiber cloth to clean. Remote has to be at the right angle to work. No other real complaints.
Cons: Remote control sometimes fails. Image with too much noise even with the maximum reduction of noise. I have a sony bravia and the image is much better with the same signal (Comcast). My advice is not to buy a TV online, the best is to go to the store ans see for yourself.
Summary: I've seen people complain about UPS delivery. My set was delivered by UPS in perfect condition. I was not home for the initial delivery, and the driver came around again on the SAME DAY, said he figured I wouldn't want to wait or drive far to the UPS warehouse to get the TV. Awesome.
Pros: -displays crystal clear non-overscanned 1:1 1920x1080 from my HTPC -great picture from hi-def sources -480p Wii and DVDs look great -lots of inputs, rare on a budget set -can get a pretty good black level by tweaking the picture settings -can set picture settings per-input I've had the set for 7 ...
Cons: -once a month I'll turn on the set and the picture won't come on, and I need to unplug and re-plug in the set to fix the issue -off angle viewing gets whiter -VGA input doesn't go up to 1920x1080 -480i picture terrible (make sure your media player / cable box does the upconversion instead of the ...
Summary: Great investment TV for the price to add another TV to your house that won't cost an arm and a leg and still be solid picture quality.
Pros: Did a lot of searching around and this was the largest TV with the best features for the price. Lots of inputs and runs in 1080p at 60hz. Refresh rate is fine for gaming. This TV makes Bad Company 2 look amazing on 360, such a huge jump up from SD. 40" screen is bright and viewable from a wide an...
Cons: Colors seem a bit neon to me. Reds are a bit too high with no real way to lower them out fully to my liking.
