Summary: Overall, the price was right for a 40" 1080p, 8ms response, 60Hz refurbished LCD. Most LCDs coming out are at least 120 or 240 Hz, but you would pay at least 30 - 60% more and the deminishing return may not equal the money spent.
Pros: Excellent Contrast Ratio. Features some advanced settings for Natural, Native, and Theatre Wide 1,2,3 screen selections. 3 v1.3 HDMI Inputs along with 2 RCA 480i Inputs. I love how my upconvert dvd player looks but it's only at 1080i which isn't too bad but not 1080p. I used the speakers and they...
Cons: I noticed that some backlight bleed in the upper left and right corners of the screen. The screen inside the housing I believe is not shut all the way so this is why the light bleeds through somewhat but it really isn't bad. I did however notice that the green colors sometimes place a line around...
Summary: Although the 40RF350U lacks 120Hz processing, there is not much image blurring, even in the fast-action scenes. However if you're particular about blurring, you might want to avoid this set.
Pros: Sleek style featuring a very thin frame; reproduced a relatively deep black level; numerous picture controls; solid connectivity, good remote control. The compact Toshiba 40RF350U is one of the most distinctive-looking 40-inch LCD TVs available although its picture quality has some issues.
Cons: Picture quality has some issues. The most disappointing aspect of the Toshiba 40RF350U's picture is its color accuracy, in both its grayscale and its primary and secondary colors. The set manages to deliver a deep level of black and process 1080i material well, but those positives are outweighed ...
Summary: Shipping was incredibly quick. I ordered Tuesday night and it was here Thursday morning.
Pros: Great color, great picture, plenty of inputs, easy setup, easy use, easy configuration, lightweight and easy to move/carry, and AMAZING price. As always you worry a bit when getting a recertified product, but this was a perfect buy for 650.
Summary: Shipping by AIT was fast and efficient. Packaging was pro! I got lucky on this deal. Makes for a great master bedroom tv as well.
Pros: Price, product condition, and beautiful picture!! 3 hdmi inputs and features are great! The remote it comes with controls everything and is easy to use! Even controls the Comcast DVR box!
Cons: I guess there are some 'whining' about the "green" spectrum not being accurate... I have no clue what they are talking about. They must have some super-human vision to tell differences in subtle color inaccuracies, but my regular-human vision is pretty darn happy. I have a living room pc, ps3, wi...
Summary: Bought a refurbished unit to save money. The bezel around the TV has a 3" long scratch on it and in one corner the shiny bezel is dull. Looks like a manufacuring defect in the plastic. Both are only noticeable from 6" away.
Pros: Very aesthetically pleasing. Intuitive remote and easy installtion. Picture quality good. Sound quality reasonable and it fits neatly into a very small space
Summary: I haven't got the full affect of the TV yet as we still are using an analog video cable, so it is only showing at like 480i instead of the 1080p, but so far the TV has been great even at that resolution, can't wait to see it at the HD resolution!
Pros: Easy to setup and understand on the controls, very nice TV
