Summary: I'm not sure yet. The picture quality is rather grannie and not as good as I would have expected. But I'm not sure whether it's the TV or my service connection. I'm in the process of having my service provider to come out and check it to see which it might be. Will write a review later to give an up-date. As far as the condition of the unit, It was in perfect condition and it arrived on time as promised.
Summary: Received one as a gift. At 9 months picture went out. Contacted Toshiba for repair service. After 8 weeks and no service I contacted Toshiba. They would replace it with a 39L 2300U B stock after this one is returned. I repackaged everything Including the REMOTE CONTROL and returned it. When the B stock (refurbished? tv) arrived It had a damaged base and the covers were not properly assembled. Not shipping damage. The base screws and remote control were not included.
Summary: Remember wearing your grandfather's spectacles? That's what the picture is like with this tv. How far can I throw this POS ?? Turns out exactly 17 feet (with a very satisfying crash sound). Not bad. But why, oh, why, frisbee a $400 COSTCO TV? Because I can't shoot it inside my apartment building. Every time I turned it on I was reminded what a sucker I was purchasing said crap. Then why not return it, you ask?
Summary: Same Problem! I purchased mine from Costco in Feb 2013 and now NO video and just audio (1-second flash of "Toshiba" at power on, then BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH!!! As you can see, Many other owners are suffering through this issue with slow and mediocre response by Toshiba: <search this model # on Toshiba Customer Forums. You will see this problem several times with a denial of any patterns of failure> I will NEVER purchase a Toshiba product again.
Summary: This TV has the clearest picture of any TV I've owned, ten times better than my Sony Bravia, with HD cable, the colors pop right off the screen, if there is another one of these models in auction, jump on it, it is well worth every penny.
Summary: The Toshiba is a reasonably priced television that provides a clear picture and decent sound. We have it in our bedroom and are able to hear it clearly even with the din we get from a local highway. Highly recommend it.
Summary: I purchased this unit from Costco. As soon as I plugged it in at home it worked for 15 minutes and then went black. The sound was still there. I will NEVER buy a Toshiba product again. One month later, I'm still waiting for the part. It's going back to costco today. I should have stuck with SAMSUNG even though this price was great. I've wasted hours trying to repair this piece of junk!
Summary: Love the color if I could see it. Bought the TV from Costco, 5 months later picture goes black and on back order for a part. been waiting 1 month with no light at the end of when it will ever be fixed or replaced. Will not buy another and will sell this one if it ever gets fixed and or even replaced. the worst customer service ever. They promise one thing and never follow through.
Summary: Like one of other reviews already posted, this tv didn't work after just a few months. Audio was fine, but the screen was black. Toshiba tells me that there is at least a 2 month wait for the part to fix it, so there must be a problem with most of these televisions. I certainly wouldn't buy this or any Toshiba product, based on this experience.
