Summary: I own a couple Toshiba tv's and laptops. All reliable and run flawlessly. This was no exception. Great picture right out of the box. Thew only thing someone might want is more HDMI inputs but for my setup I only need 2.
Summary: Pros: Great price Great picture Sound is fine Cons: Volume varies widely between inputs. In a quiet room, sitting at any distance up to about 15 feet, a volume of "1" is generally sufficient, sometimes even too loud. In a more noisy room (fans, etc) a volume of "3 - 5" is usually fine. After about "10" it's pretty much all the same, but yet it goes all the way up to "100" - what's the point? I'd like to see more control of the volume.
Summary: When I bought this TV I was expecting same HD quality as other Toshiba TV that I bought. While it was indeed high definition, the picture quality was very sub-par, almost to the point that my eyes get sore after watching the screen for a while. The problem with this TV is that it is very dim. After doing some research, I found out that this was due to the "Energy Saving Setting".
Summary: I bought this TV as a budget buy for my room. After getting a THX Video Setup image on my screen and calibrating it. The picture is Completely acceptable. The refresh rate is just fine on good sources like the PS3, Xbox, and HD Channels On my Cable box. The sound is acceptable for TV speakers however I use a full surround sound for more accurate sound. The TV is a little thick but completely mountable and not to heavy compared to other models.
Summary: I really enjoy my new TV and the price was great. The only problem that I am having is, the picture gets dark and I have to lighten it up and later it goes dark again. Not so that you can not see the picture. The color is wonderful and I needed to replace my old set. If someone would ask he if they should buy one, I would say, yes.
Summary: BROKE BEFORE A YEAR OLD WARRANTY DEPT SCREWED UP THE DATE AND SHOWED THAT MY WARRANTY EXPIRED THE DAY I BOUGHT THE TV SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH TOSHIBA, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND THE STORE GETTING TOSHIBA DOCUMENTATION TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE I (!!!!!
Summary: I love this TV, you get a lot of TV for the money. I won't repeat what others have said, and instead I will offer a tip and my thoughts First of all I just updated the firmware that is on Toshiba's website. This fixed the controller lag, sluggish response, and having to push buttons twice or more to register. The menus are faster as well. Gaming mode still has to be enabled each time the TV is turned on which I dislike.
