Summary: I was excited when I ordered this television since I was replacing a 36" tube Toshiba with a 1080p LCD. However, I was disappointed with it. The sound on this TV was terrible and after trying to adjust it many ways, I decided to return the TV. The only way I could watch with any satisfaction was through a sound system and that to me was just too much effort. Picture was ok, but the horrible sound system was a bit too much to overlook.
Summary: I ordered this TV for a friend. At the time I ordered the set, 4 out of 8 reviews complained about the sound. I have a 37" Toshiba a couple years old and the sound is excellent for use as a TV in a modest size room. I discounted the complaints assuming that they were expecting more out of it than they should. I expected this one to be similar to mine as far as the audio was concerned.
Summary: First time I received this model there was a dead pixel at the center of the screen. Amazon is amazing with returns, but I had inconvenience with bringing it to a UPS location that accepts such oversize packages. The second TV worked well for 2 weeks. Now it does not recognize any incoming sings in the HDMI plugs. Otherwise it would be a good value, great picture etc. But I've spent far too much time trying to solve the problems it made.
Summary: Don't waste your money spend the extra 90 dollars and get a sony or something else. The first day I bought it home I connected the hdmi and got no signal that should have been a sign to take it right back. I did get the ports working for 2 weeks but now both ports stopped working. I took it right back to Best Buy and got a sony. Took the sony home hooked up the hdmi and bam it works.
