Summary: This Toshiba TV has serious volume issues. I can be watching tv at normal volume and all of a sudden it goes to full volume. I cannot lower the volume using the remote or on the tv. I have to unplug it and wait for about 30 seconds then replug it into the outlet.
Summary: Great digital picture quality-no problems with that. NO MENTION AT ALL in the Amazon ad for this TV about how poor the sound quality is or that it absolutely would need to be amplified through a home theater set-up.
Toshiba warranty is the worst I ever had to deal with
2 July 2012
Summary: The TV was defective. It turns on and turns off right away. I called the Toshiba customer service and it took them about a month and a half to send the first part. The local authorized technician came to my house and couldn't fix it. He had to order parts twice after this and come back to my house.
Summary: They advertise it as "720P RESOLUTION With almost 1 million pixels available, 720p resolution helps breathe new life into your favorite programs, movies and games." The fact is, it's got over 1,049,000 pixels and it will scale any 720p source and ruin its quality.
Cons: It's not really 720p and will scale any image, if you know anything about digital media it's that a NATIVE RESOLUTION is the most important thing for quality viewing, and this TV does a poor job at delivering a standard res, even though it's said to be 720p.
Summary: I purchased this TV based on picture quality and price. It seemed to have the nicest picture, just barely, of the 32" TV's priced around $300, at least as they were set up and configured in the store. I didn't think to check the sound in the store.
Cons: Terrible sound, I have never heard a tv that has such poor sound as this one does. It also doesn't have RCA audio out so you have to use the digital optical out for sound. Annoyed with this tv already.
Summary: Sorry, no sale, but would have been if I could see the hookups on this.
Pros: Looks good and price is right.
Cons: I was going to buy this, but the pictures do not show the connection panel on the TV at all. Went to Toshiba's site, and they don't even HAVE a manual for downloading...they list the TV and do not offer a manual.
