Summary: As others have noted, the picture is very, very good, but the tiny speakers leave a lot desired in the sound department. We've got ours mounted in our camper, and have the sound running thru the camper's stereo system. This system is itself pretty cheesy, but the sound is somewhat better than using the TV's built-in speakers. I would guess that thru a better external amplifier and speakers, the sound would be just fine.
Summary: This isn't necessarily a review for the tv as a whole. I do really like the tv and I think it's a great deal. However, I bought this as a gaming tv for my PS3. I was annoyed when I tried to set up the HDMI cable and realized while the 1080p graphics are gorgeous, the sound would make this weird popping/crackling noise. I tried everything I could think of to get rid of it.
Summary: The picture is very good only if you view it straight on and at eye level...The viewing angle is very poor compared to some others, so I cant see using this set any where else but a bedroom, even in a kitchen would not be good because you walk around in there...I found setting the pix to Preference, and putting the sharpness, contrast, back level to the highest and color down to 45 and brightness to 40, the pix is very good to excellent on a live HD signal..
Summary: TV picture quality is great! Size and weight is perfect for the kitchen location. Sound quality is poor with small speaker to the rear. The remote control response time has a delayed reaction.
Summary: My real need was to replace a non-working flat-screen PC monitor belonging to an 85-year old friend/PC-support-client living in a retirement community. She appreciated the slighty larger PC monitor, and she loved having a new TV on her credenza. As others report, the sound is adequate, but not as good as on some larger flat-screen TV sets. The computer is a 2007-vintage HP mini-desktop computer (HP Pavilion s7617).
great for low cost video photography field monitor

Summary: I bought this TV in the hopes of using it for my video business. I hook it up to my professional video cameras out in the field using both the HDMI and Component video inputs depending on the camera I am using, to judge composition and lighting. This TV allows for a fair amount of tweaking of the image in the menu settings and with a bit of work the image is spectacular for the price in my opinion. Very thin and light for transport.
Clear, bright 1080p picture with simple HDMI connections

Summary: Excellent quality image and an easy menu system. Two HDMI connections simplify cable box and DVD connections and this model has clean speakers with good range. A few minutes from box to up and running, tailored for personal preferences. My only gripe is that the unit was shipped in a display box, exposed to the elements and UPS shipping. Box was damaged, but product was fine.
