Summary: I purchased this TV as a gift for my daughter's 18th birthday in Dec 2011. In Sept 2012 the TV quit working, just would not turn on anymore. After trying the trouble shooting methods available on the product website without success, I proceeded to call for technical support. First, a recording told me that my product's warranty had expired.
Summary: Got it for x-mas 2011. Easy set up. Performed as I expected it would. In early May is simply would not stay on for more than a few seconds. By May 15 it stopped turning on entirely. If I could give it no stars, that would be my rating. Odd, too, is that I have a Toshiba quite like it in another room that I have had for about 5 yrs. Love it. This one.. what can I say?
Sure enough, 4 days after Amazon warranty expired . . .

Summary: ... TV/DVD combo stopped working. Power on and it goes into stand-by (solid red light). Manual was no help and talking to Toshiba directly required an extra dose of blood pressure meds. Long story short, I have to pay for shipping and hope that they can repair it. Also hope they return the DVD movie that is currently stuck in the combo set. Update: Spent 45 minutes on hold last night with Toshiba.
Summary: We have it as a kitchen TV. Nice size. Sound is sufficient, picture is clear on HDMI,and the DVD/CD works well. Has standard mounting holes on the back so easy to mount on wall mount. Not very heavy, I was able to hang it by myself while on a ladder.
Summary: Bought this for my wife as a Christmas present. First one I received was dead on arrival. Returned to Amazon. Replacement unit stopped working after 30 days. Be prepared to spend lots of time on hold with Toshiba. Still working on returning 2nd unit to them as it failed just after return window at Amazon expired. Avoid this TV. It is only headaches. Wish I had bought something else.
Summary: I read the reviews commenting on the poor sound system before I purchased the 19" Toshiba television. I thought to myself, my hearing is good; how bad could it be? Well, the reviews were correct; the sound is practically inaudible. Unless you have ears like a bat, don't buy this television.
Summary: The original TV we ordered was defective; Amazon was wonderful in making sure it was picked up, a second new TV was delivered within 48 hours assuring us that we had it for Christmas day - great service!(this was our ONLY gift this year) However, this second set has a volume problem; we have to tune the volume up to 70-90 in order to hear the audio clearly.
