Excerpt: Also since this LCD TV has a DVD player with it I haven’t been able to find a wall mount for the TV. So if you wanted to mount this to a wall you are going to have to look for a different TV or a different way t get it on to the wall. Overall I think this was a great small TV for the price and I wouldn’t change it for anything in less I all of a sudden got a massive bathroom and wanted a huge TV in there for some reasons. But I don’t think will ever be happening.
Excerpt: The DVD player still works perfectly and we haven’t encountered any issues with discs skipping or not functioning exactly as they’re supposed to. I’m really surprised that I’m enjoying the tv as much as I am, and I’m thankful my father-in-law was so generous in finding us a very reliable unit. My husband would still prefer something larger, but I think I’m getting through to him that, for the time being, this is the perfect size.
Summary: We love the TV - good sound, good color, good picture, easy set up. Wish it were a little larger, but given the built in space we have in the kitchen, it was the only size option for us. If you are equally limited by space, we would highly recommend it.
Toshiba 15LV505 15.6" LCD Television with DVD Player
4 November 2010
Summary: I use this TV on the dining room table to watch local channels while eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. It picks up all the local channels with a powered rabbit-ear antenna. It is a very attractive piece of furniture and just the right size to be on the table. The picture quality is fantastic and the sound is great. To make it even more desireable, DVD's easily slide into (and out out of) a vertical opening in the left side.
Summary: I purchased this TV for my mom 16 months ago while she was in a rehab center. It's light, picture was good and the DVD player was a bonus. She used it for approximately 4 weeks. I began using it again in June, used it approximately 10 times. The unit totally died 2 days ago. All together it was in service for less than 6 months. It would cost more to fix & ship it than it's worth. I can't recommend this tv.
Summary: Purchased as Amazon Deal of the Day and was not smart enough to open & use immediately! Waited until 30 days returned window was closed. The TV lost sound and power so called for repair. I live in Colorado and need to ship to Mass for repair. The TV is junk and a real hassle to get it ready for shipment and they ask for everything in order to fix a cheap TV. Also, found that the TV is a 2008 model purchased in 2010. No more Deals of the Day for me!
Summary: Excellent value for the money. Fantastic picture quality, WIDE viewing angle with no falloff in brightness and picture quality second to none. Very low power consumption (only 30 watts) allow it to be used with a small cell phone power converter (12 volt cigarette lighter type converter) without any problems. Plenty of speaker volume as well.
Summary: We were looking to replace a 13" CRT TV. Other units we looked at: Toshiba 15DLV77 but did not like the 4:3 aspect ratio, Westinghouse 15.6" had bad sound reviews, the Coby and Viewsonic 15" had a limited viewing angles. This Toshiba specs a 170 deg viewing angle, which it delivers, and that is not to be underestimated for a kitchen TV. The colors are true even at an extreme viewing angle and this is a great plus for watching while moving around the kitchen.
