Summary: I will never EVER EVER buy another product from this company. TV was fine until suddenly all the HDMI inputs went dead. Contacted TCL's customer service and talked to a young lady in the Phillipines. She referred me to their tier 2 people. After repeated attempts, I finally contacted them on 26 December 2012. The man I spoke to informed me it was a logic board failure, which is common to these TV's.
Summary: Got this as a black friday deal. Looking back, im not sure it was a GREAT deal but i saved a little bit. Only complaint is that it was hard to find a programming code for the remote on my AT&T cable box for it.
Summary: What can I say? It was about 200 bucks cheaper than the competition. It works well and has great image quality. TCL may not be a brand name you have heard much about but the product has worked for me for over 2 years now. I recommend it. One star off because of occasional brighness around the edges of the screen, but really nothing too noticeable. A great buy.
Summary: OSD placed in the wrong place on the screen and it can't be moved. Remote control is hard to use. Unusual disposition of common controls. Auto light adjustment very brutal to eye, better turned off.
Summary: The quality of the picture compares well with most of the top brands that I've found and it plays blu rays flawlessly. HOWEVER, if you plan on hooking up an xbox360 to this tv, buy something different. For every online game I've tried with this tv, there is about .5 to 1 second lag at all times between your movements and the movements on the television. Good luck if you want to game. I would not buy another, even for what I paid (400).
Summary: This was refurbished TV that I bought for the price of $278 and it looks very nice, new, I really cannot tell the difference between a brand new TV or a refurbished. The quality of the image is pretty good also, the design is nice, and until now all its functionalities work fine. I recommend this product to anyone for the price that I payed for it.
Summary: I'm a bit confused because I just received this item and I was so excited to receive it because the first thing I did was connect it to my laptop. I'm a big fan of using my computer as the ultimate media source and wanted to see how a resolution of 1920x1080 would look on this television. However when I connected my computer to it and tried to change the resolution of the the screen to 1920x1080 I couldn't because it would max out at 1366x760 (something like that).
Summary: i was considering between TCL and Westinghouse for an LED 46 inch. After looking at the westinghouse display model at best buy, I decided to go with TCL, which i know is a mature and popular TV manufacturer. When the TV arrived, I could not be any happier. It definitely outscores westinghouse in both looking and quality. As I ordered and paid as "used like new", it is really brand new with all plastic sealing on the TV, remote and parts. TV itself is in mint condition.
