Summary: Haven't had my TV too long. So far, I am very happy with it. The price helped...:) I would however, like to hook it up to my cable DVR in 1080 to see the difference in picture clarity, etc. It's for my bedroom and I haven't yet made the jump to pay my cable provider the additional monies for a second DVR. Probably will though. Does not have a 'tinny' sound.
Summary: I got this TV as a birthday gift and was so surprised. I had never had a flat screen before and was elated. I got the TV in November and as I watching it, the picture went out on me and left me with a green screen and sound. That was it. My TV was gone after only having it 7 months!!!!!! I thought since I had a warranty on it, they would immediately send another to replace it.
Summary: Despite some reviews, I have had the TV for 3 weeks and have had absolutely no problems with it. The stand was a bit difficult to attach, but if that's the only problem, then I'll end up with a very good TV at a very good price.
Summary: Like many, I was skeptical of this low priced off brand TV. I'm not a videophile, I just didn't have a TV and figured it was time to get one so I gave this a try. I have been using it for 6 months now and have been pleasantly surprised. First, the negative. I shouldn't have looked but since so many other reviews mentioned dead pixels my eyes couldn't help but go searching and sure enough, there it was.
Summary: Purchased TCL from Tiger Direct arrived on time & works great. Can not program Direct TV (DTV) remote to work with TCL 39" TV. TCL not listed in DTV remote program guide. Called DTV, they had no information on the TCL brand. They walked me through the "genetic" settings but nothing worked. Gave up. Have to use two remotes.
Summary: I was pretty stunned to see the quality picture this television had to offer. I had some minor troubles, but they were easily fixed. First off, I had a hell of a time getting the stand on it till I realized the screws were self grooving screws and I needed to screw them directly into the plastic slots without the glass stand first.
Summary: I've owned 3 TV's in the past 5 years, this one is by far the best investment I've made for the price, I have a 47" LG and a 32" Sharp and now this 39" TCL....If you can get past the fact that it is a brand that you have never heard of then you will love it. I ordered this TV because I live (have a roommate) from China that is here to study.
Summary: I have no complaints with this TV. Quality picture, okay audio (about as good as can be expected on a thin LED TV), looks more expensive than it is. Its not going to beat a Sony or a Samsung, but you get almost as much functionality for substantially less dough.
Summary: **HEADS UP** The top flap of the cardboard box is held shut with enormous copper staples. It looks like it would be really easy to scratch the screen on these staples as you unbox the TV, so be sure to discard the staples before lifting the TV out of the box! --- Paid $329, which seems reasonable for this TV. Sure it's not top of the line but it blows my old 26" 720p TV (bought for $500 in 2007) right out of the water.
Summary: For the price it's great, haven't had any trouble, picture is awesome. I don't use the TV's speakers, and they're not the greatest thing, but I didn't plan to use them anyway. I have some speakers connected to the TV. The remote could have had the keys light up, I hate having to either turn on a light, or try to use the light from the TV if a good scene comes on.
