Summary: I received this tv as a gift, however upon setting up the tv I noticed there was a line down the Center of the screen. We sent it back to amazon, and now today the second tv is worst than the first;( The same line and a cracked screen!!!! I'm not impressed!
Summary: This TV was the nicest Christmas gift, my first large screen tv. What a surprize. About as surprized as I was six months later when there was nothing on screen or sound. Received parts, didn't unwrap them. Called back to let them know and they said a Technician would be in touch soon. Well by the second week of August I was done waiting. Amazon was fine with my sending it back with credit to my son.
Summary: This is a great TV. I've had it about 6 months and have had no problems at all! The TV came quickly and was packaged wonderfully. It was easy to get it all set up (the stand was a little tricky to get it on tight enough. If your TV wobbles, then it is not on tight enough). Once the TV and stand are put together, the TV is very sturdy and does not wobble at all.
Summary: I received this as a gift December 2011 and since that time I have not been exceptionally happy with the picture. It looks as if the picture distorts and it does not look crisp. I recently realized that it is supposed to be a 1080p and this television is a 720p resolution. I have also become aware of a pin sized mark on the screen. I was told that I should have returned it immediately as a result of this defect alone but it did not bother me that much.
Summary: I purchased this TV in Feb 2012 because it had the largest screen for the price. It worked fine for 3 months. Then it suddenly refused to recognize any of the inputs - so no DVD player could be hooked up to it. I thought maybe this was just bad luck - some products will be defective in a large production run. However, it's the so-called 'warranty service" that's the problem now. It supposedly has a 2 yr. warranty.
Summary: So far after purchasing the TV everything has been working great and very happy with the picture quality and features that I wanted in a nice LCD TV. Regular SD and HD looks great, just some small adjustments on the picture settings and the picture will look very good.
Summary: I ordered this because it was $330 and I could not find a better deal anywhere else. I had a gift card and had been robbed at the time. I haven't had any problems with it. I use HDMI (PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360), Composite (Wii) and AV (PlayStation 2) on it. No connection problems yet. My only problem was the set up. It has a glass base that needs to be screwed from the bottom. It would've been better to just have a base where the TV can just be set into place first.
Summary: I purchased this TV on the 5th of March, 3 months later, to the exact day, it decided to stop working. I was watching TV in the afternoon when it just decided to shut off. Tried to turn it back on with no luck, plugged it into three other outlets and did a hard reset to no avail. Onto the customer service, I called on July 6th only to be greeted by a woman who was speaking very broken English.
It's like a Samsung - at half the price (literally)
8 July 2012
Summary: I snagged this for $299, where it appeared to be for a long time. TCL contract manufacturers some base model Samsung TV's - and if you look in the back grille, you can see the Samsung logo on the panel. This thing - for intents and purposes - a Samsung. No, the on-screen menus are not Samsung beautiful, they're simple and clear. There are several inputs, the remote works great.
