My PC Monitor as well.

Anonymous, Newegg
20 July 2006
  • Summary: Great monitor that gives you some of the most impressive array of video input options. I have my Xbox 360, computer, directv hd dvr and dvd-uprecorder all connected to it. The monitor is surprisingly attractive too.. that sleek black is nice.
  • Pros: Numerous video inputs. Can hook a computer up to it, and get a wireless keyboard/mouse and chill back while surfing/working on your computer. Changes the way you work. You can litterally do everything from this monitor.
  • Cons: Biggest weakness is by far it's lack of HDMI input. But you can get the 37inch (and recommend that you do!, I know I wish I had) and it has hdmi. This is still a great monitor/tv to have. It's a perfect size because it's not too small for a livving room or too big for a bedroom. No digital audio :(

WOW! Awesome TV for the money!

Brian D., Newegg
13 July 2006
  • Summary: Most of the connects (component, power and coax cable) are on the left side of the unit. I didn't think about it, but if you have short cables and your theater is sitting on the right of the unit you may have an issue with the cables reaching (as I did).
  • Pros: Many inputs to choose from, esp. DVI. AMAZING picture using high quality aftermarket component cables. Two cable ties are mounted on the back of the unit (one on the back center and one on the left side by the inputs. Cool feature. Not too heavy - can be picked up by one person. Good footprint, w...
  • Cons: Two coax inputs would be cool. TV speakers are just okay, but really, who's buying this TV for the speakers?

Pretty Good TV

Jared G., Newegg
11 July 2006
  • Summary: This is a cheap display and is worth the money from what I can tell even though I havent had a chance to hook up a HD display to it as of yet
  • Pros: Good price, lots of inputs, and pretty crisp picture
  • Cons: The remote is kinda cheap just get a universal instead or soemthing. The specs are different than the ones listed here and on the manufacturer website you may want to contact them directly for exact specs.

Great buy!

Anonymous, Newegg
10 July 2006
  • Summary: This site, and the manufacturer's, show this set with a 1600:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time, but the manual says 800:1 and 12 ms...
  • Pros: The picture quality is outstanding, especially for the price. Nice clear, crisp picture. Even non-HD looks pretty good on the set. Sound is okay from the built-in speakers, but nothing special there. Lots of connectors to use.
  • Cons: Remote is nothing to call home about, the OSD is slow to show/react to the remote and it is difficult to learn using the remote... Speakers are on the side of set (takes up more room than is could.) No HDMI.

Best for the money by far

Anonymous, Newegg
14 June 2006
  • Summary: Split screen and PiP are great but it doesn't allow it to be from the same source. The brand is still Philips Korea, which I have been told by many is a top brand for the core elements of a LCD.
  • Pros: Extremely good picture in high definition. I set it back on my desk about 2 ft and it is amazing to play on if you are a gamer. VGA is alright but I would recommend buying a DVI cable if your video crad allows it. Good frame and refresh rates. There are so many great features I didn't realize it ...
  • Cons: Non-High def picture is a little weak.

User Review

Garth W., Newegg
10 June 2006
  • Summary: Its a very good set for the money and the intended purpose I bought it for
  • Pros: Good picture quality even without HD, Price, Look, Weight, Assortment of connections.
  • Cons: Not enough connections(no hdmi), Remote(though no worst than what you get these days), Sound (but I guess external speakers should be a requirement),

Made a mistake

Gary U., Newegg
10 June 2006
  • Summary: As you can tell, I'm not pleased with this product. Maybe I'll learn a few things as I own it longer and the issues I have will improve. I suggest you spend an extra $200-$300 and buy a brand name. That's what I should have done. I guess this one goes in the guest bedroom.
  • Pros: Did a lot of research before picking this TV. I realize now I should have done more research As I studied LCDs,I came to the conclusion most LCD pictures were about the same (first oops) so I went for a lower price (second oops) not brand name. This TV has a low price and a good HD picture. That'...
  • Cons: Picture quality in non HD is my biggest issue. The picture does not look sharp or crisp. Dark scenes are really dark.Doesn't have a deep black more gray. Picture quality is best in HD but most programming is not HD. So most of the time you're looking at a poor quality picture. My old Panasonic CR...

Superb Value

Vinson C., Newegg
8 June 2006
  • Summary: Value: 10 Video Quality: 9 Sound: 6 (not bad but not great) Feel and Build Quality: 10 (feels solid and I don’t know why people are complaining about the stand its fine and has a small foot print) Also, I tend to agree with the comments of the previous reviewers.
  • Pros: Unbeatable value, top notch specs (not sure if they are true). I’m watching Animal Planet HD right now on this TV, and it’s amazing. Its hard to get a feel for how big a 32” TV is in a store, because its next to ones twice its size, but let me tell you for a small living room space (around 8-12 f...
  • Cons: If you download the PDF manual form the manufacture’s web site you will notice that it says this model has 12ms response time and not 8ms. Is the web site right or the manual? Who knows, but this kind of thing is very annoying.

I have a slightly older model, This one is probably even better!

Anonymous, Newegg
6 June 2006
  • Summary: It's difficult to get it to work "correctly" if using it as a PC monitor. This is an issue with HDTVs regardless of brand. The resolution 1366x768 doesnt exist on PC, I have to go with 1360x768.
  • Pros: Like I say, I have an earlier model (32" 8ms 1200:1 800nits) and I love it. I can only imagine that this one is better. No dead pixels, excellent contrast, colors and brightness, no ghosting or artifacts whatsoever. Has several PIP modes (splitscreen, 3 channels at once, 12 channels at once)
  • Cons: On mine, an older model, the built in speakers are ok, not very impressive, but if used with a surround sound system, they serve well as a clone of the center channel.

Excellent product

Ruben F., Newegg
4 June 2006
  • Summary: Get this TV. xxx$ to xxx$ cheaper than the nearest competitor with the same specs. Also, to avoid frustration (which happened to me) make sure all of your signal outputting devices (DVD's, consoles, cable boxes) are running at 1080i, if available, or at their maximum resolution, to avoid feeling as...
  • Pros: Picture quality is outstanding both with my directv HD receiver and my xbox 360. Deep blacks, clear, bright, deep colors. I was completely taken aback when I saw what this beast was capable off watching discovery HD and Episode III last night on HBO HD. I really don't see a problem with the stand...
  • Cons: The speakers are non-removable, which makes the TV look a lot larger than it actually is. No HDMI inputs, but a DVI input is provided, so all you need is a HDMI to DVI cable to achieve the high transmission rates of HDMI. The TV has too many outdated AV and VGA inputs in my opinion, I mean you do...
